LEGO Modular Buildings Availability & Shelf Life
LEGO usually releases one LEGO Modular Building set at the beginning or near the beginning of the year. Only the most recent 3-4 years of LEGO Modular Buildings are usually available for purchase at the official LEGO Shop at Home (USA | Canada | UK | Australia).
This means at any time, there are usually 3-4 different LEGO Modular Buildings that you can purchase at regular retail price. The older sets are fetching for high amounts of money. 2007 was the year when LEGO released the first ever LEGO Modular Building. LEGO 10182 Cafe Corner Modular Building 2007 features three LEGO townspeople minifigures. There is a nice hotel on the outside of the building.
The corner building contains two stories with the cafe on the ground floor and the hotel on the second floor.

LEGO Factory 10190 Market Street Modular Building 2007 was an interesting set and was released after LEGO 10182 Cafe Corner. It was branded as “LEGO Factory”.
This was a set designed by a LEGO fan but could be combined with other LEGO Modular Buildings. At $89.99 USD, it was one of the lowest priced LEGO Modular Buildings. The set was also the smallest out of all the LEGO Modular Buildings. It features three floors with three different rooms. Three LEGO Townspeople minifigures are included.
The recommended age for LEGO Factory 10190 Market Street is those that are aged 10+. This is truly a classic LEGO modular building set.
3) LEGO 10185 Green Grocer

Grocery store details include refrigerators, grocery fruits and vegetables, cash register and more. In the apartments, they have grandfather clock, fireplace and more. Though, the apartments interior is a little bare.
LEGO is probably still working on getting experience with designing and creating LEGO Modular Building sets. Four LEGO townspeople minifigures are included in the set.
Grocery store fans will definitely like this set with all the market fresh produce. On the top levels, you can rest in the home.

LEGO 10197 Fire Brigade Modular Building 2009 is a very detailed classic fire station in the year 1932. There is a 1930’s fire truck, fire dog and garage door that opens. The bottom floor has authentic details like firefighting tools. On the top floor, firefighters can rest and play some ping-pong or grab some snacks from the kitchen.
There is a firepole where firefighters can quickly go down from the second floor to the ground floor. Four minifigures are included in the set including three firefighters and a woman.
LEGO 10197 Fire Brigade is a fire station classic. Firefighters and those that love the fire emergency services would find joy in this set.
5) LEGO 10211 Grand Emporium

The ground floor is the clothing department with mannequins, clothes, fitting room, cash register and more. On the second floor, it is the housewares department. The top floor is the toys department. A brick built escalator connects all three floors. Seven LEGO minifigures are included in the set.

For the middle level, there is a photo studio, music store and dental office. Finally, the upper levels contain dance studio and apartment. Eight minifigures are included to supplement the businesses in this set.

For the 2020 year, LEGO rebranded some sets targeted towards adults as LEGO Adults Welcome. This includes LEGO Modular Buildings. As such, LEGO Creator Expert 10278 Police Station Modular Building 2020 box art looks a little different than previous box arts. In addition, the recommended age has changed from the usual 16+ to 18+ now.
This modular building has a donut shop next to the police station. The 3 floor detailed building has details like a criminal mug shot area and a detention jail cell. You can remove the building and explore the brick-built staircase.
There are also telephone, typewriter and printed tiles on the billboard details as well. The set measures over 14.5 inches high, 10 inches wide and 10 inches deep.
Those who love law enforcement and police will find this set quite cool.

18+ LEGO Icons 10312 Jazz Club contains classic architecture like decorated interior. The jazz club set has a rooftop garden and a pizza Cafe. There is also the jazz band’s dressing room and 45 degree entrance doorway too. Eight minifigures are included in the set and they include musician minifigures, chefs and customers.

18+ LEGO Icons 10326 Natural History Museum has two levels where you can build and play inside the detailed interior. There’s the brachiosaurus dinosaur skeleton and lots of treasures inside.
These include the curator’s office which is staff access only. There are also astronomy exhibits where you can check and learn about the solar system and its planets.
Other cool unique features include ancient artefacts where you can explore old LEGO sets. Finally, there’s also galaxy view where you can use the telescope to explore and see the stars and sky.
