February 24, 2025 Update: This resource article was first written on August 14, 2021. It has now been updated as of February 24, 2025. This article primarily focuses on the smallest LEGO sets packaged in LEGO mini impulse boxes. Throughout the article, we’ve reviewed and updated sections of it. In addition, we now provided the tiniest and smallest LEGO set that contains only one single piece (not part of the top 10 smallest LEGO Impulse sets). Its at the very end of this article. As always, thank you for being a reader of Toys N Bricks and for continuing to support the work that we do here.
—
In this LEGO resource article, we’ll look at some of the top 10 smallest, tiniest and cheapest LEGO sets of all time ever made and released in the world. These LEGO sets are in a box with the least pieces and parts. Unfortunately, these LEGO sets are no longer available at the official LEGO Shop at Home (USA | Canada | UK | Australia). They have been discontinued and retired.
For ranking purposes, we ranked the sets based on the number of product pieces. We didn’t include polybag sets such as polybag sets that only include a minifigure or seasonal sets. All these LEGO sets listed below are packaged with an individual box. They are LEGO impulse sets which are essentially mini tiny LEGO sets that are priced below $4 USD.
That being said, we did provide what is the tiniest and smallest LEGO set at the very end. It has only one piece and it’s not an individual boxed set.
LEGO impulse tiny micro sets were released sometime between 2008 to 2010. Secondary marketplaces usually have these small and rare LEGO sets priced quite high unfortunately.
At the present, the closest to LEGO impulse sets these days would be LEGO polybag sets. They are essentially small LEGO sets that are packed in a polybag packaging.

Tiniest & Smallest LEGO Set Products
LEGO 1115 4.5V Lighting Brick (2 x 2)
If you are wondering what is the tiniest and smallest packaged LEGO set, we can say that it would be the LEGO 1115 4.5V Lighting Brick (2 x 2). It has one single brick piece. LEGO 1115 4.5V Lighting Brick (2 x 2) was released many years ago back in 1977. This is definitely a tiny set containing only just one single piece. Yes, just one single piece.
Shown below is LEGO 1115 4.5V Lighting Brick (2 x 2). This is the tiniest and smallest LEGO set product ever released in the world. Photo below is courtesy of LEGO Bricklink.
That said, if you just compared by pieces, there are other items that only have one LEGO piece. For example, this includes items like the orange LEGO 630 Brick Separator.
LEGO 630 Brick Separator
LEGO 630 Brick Separator is an orange separator that works really well with removing pieces (especially tiny ones that clip together). In the past, you could have bought it directly online from LEGO Shop at Home (USA | Canada | UK | Australia). But most of the time, many big LEGO sets included the brick separator for free.
The separator is recommended for those that are aged 4+. LEGO 630 Brick Separator also only has one single piece and was released back in 2012.
But comparing the brick separator with LEGO 1115 4.5V Lighting Brick (2 x 2), we can for sure say LEGO 1115 4.5V Lighting Brick (2 x 2) is the smallest and tiniest LEGO set.
These are the smallest and tiniest LEGO sets of all time ever released in the world. What do you think? Let us if we missed anything. You can participate in our LEGO forums for this discussion.

yo the least amount of peices in a lego set is 3219 Mini TIE Fighter
with 12
Hi hoihkjhlkjhl, we didn’t include polybag sets as it can start to get confusing. Many polybag sets only have a minifigure. But yes, you are right! The LEGO 3219 Mini TIE Fighter is indeed a small set. (:
Also because if polybags were included the smallest one would be 4466
Well Nice
Hello, I’m a Korean Lego Youtuber! May I cite your article in my video? Of course, I will include the source of this article in the video.
Hi kimhj, yes you can site our article. (:
Yo everyone on here be talking about Legos while I’m searching what’s the most expensive and what’s the most cheapest lego set
smallllllllllllllllllll
no actually the smallest set is Salt and Pepper Set 850705
hi i’m a Lego fan
The 601 Shell Fuel Pump of the late 70s/ early 80s was pretty minimal. 12 pieces if you count the parts of the minifigure, so even smaller than the 886 space buggy. There were quite a few tiny sets for 92p back then but I think 601 was the smallest.
