For fans of the LEGO Star Wars line, there are very few days that are more exciting than May 4th! Many AFOLs and TFOLs look forward to this event all year because it is the day that celebrates the partnership between LEGO and Star Wars. Each year on May 4th, LEGO adds a lineup of new additions to the LEGO Star Wars universe. Some of the releases come with limited edition elements, and some are collector’s items themselves.
Among the many May 4th releases we’ve seen over the years are new BrickHeadz, helmet sets, and dioramas. We also often get an advanced building set from the Ultimate Collectors Series (UCS). This year is no different, and you’ll be happy to see that LEGO has given us a complete range of new Star Wars sets to add to our collections.

May the 4th Be With You In 2025: LEGO Star Wars Release Lineup
LEGO’s May the 4th Event
As mentioned, the May 4th event brings us several new LEGO Star Wars sets. These releases cater to various fan types and build upon previously released collections. The new LEGO sets are often based on story elements from the original movies, but they also cover the prequels, sequels, animated series, and Disney+ originals like The Mandalorian and Boba Fett.
The May 4th release lineup is announced in mid-April, and pre-orders also begin on April 15th. On May 1st, all the sets become available at LEGO retailers around the world, making early May one of the busiest times of year for LEGO collectors.
This year (2025), many of the releases come with exclusive gifts. There is also a collectible coin that will likely become quite valuable in the future.

2025 LEGO Star Wars May the 4th Release Lineup
Here are the 2025 LEGO Star Wars releases.
Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship: Ultimate Collectors Series (75409)
This year, Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship is the main attraction. It is a reimagining of the 2002 version of the same ship, but this year’s set is a big improvement. Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship is the latest addition to the Ultimate Collectors Series line, and fans are already saying how excited they are to add this set to their collections.
This ship has a lot to offer for hobbyists and serious collectors alike. Collectors will immediately recognize the distinctive blue and grey color scheme, since it is the same design that we saw in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. You’ll likely notice that the color scheme of Boba Fett’s version of the same ship is different from this new UCS version.
Hobbyists and advanced builders will appreciate the high piece count of this set. It has 2,970 pieces and many interesting construction features that adult fans will love. You can pick this set up from Lego stores in early May for $299.99, and LEGO Insiders get early access to it on May 1.
Here are some of the details you can look out for:
Functional Elements
Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship has a commanding display presence and will look great paired with other UCS Star Wars ships from previous years. This ship is more than just a display piece, though. There are several notable functional elements that add a layer of complexity to this build.
- One thing to look forward to is the rotating wing feature. There is a mechanism that allows the wings to adjust angle when the orientation of the ship changes.
- Another fun feature is the removable canopy. Taking it off reveals the cockpit interior, and the detailed internal design features match the movie version quite closely.
- There is also a real loading ramp that uses a Technic mechanism that allows for smooth operation and a more realistic look and feel.
- The concealed compartment for the brick-built seismic charge is another nice feature that adds a level of interactivity that helps this set bridge the gap between displayability and playability.
Speaking of displayability, Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship comes with a sturdy display stand that allows you to showcase this UCS build in an upright flight orientation. There is also an informational plaque that gives viewers the name and the basic stats of the ship.
Minifigures
Collectors will also enjoy the new minifigures that come with this set.
We get Jango Fett, who features updated armor, a jetpack, and dual blasters. He also has a new rangefinder piece to add depth to the character and increase the storytelling elements of the set. We also get a young Boba Fett in the clothes he wore as a child.
While there are only two minifigures that come with this set, they are exclusive to the set, making them a hot item for collectors.
Rebel U-Wing Starfighter (75399)
If you are looking for something a little more casual than the flagship set, the Rebel U-Wing Starfighter might be a good fit. The design characteristics are simpler, and the price is considerably lower.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this ship, but this year’s reimagined version of the Rebel U-Wing Starfighter is focused on specific storylines, making it a good choice for collectors looking to add to existing fleets. It’s also a great option for anyone looking to recreate scenes from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story or something from the Andor series.
This set comes in at 594 pieces and is priced at the time of release at $69.99, making this one of the more accessible sets on the list. It is also a great gift option. For collectors, this set is also an awesome alternative to the now-retired U-Wing from 2016 (now priced at around $350 on Amazon). The two sets are very similar, and you can now have it for a fraction of the price of the collector’s item version.
Functional Elements
As you might expect from a mid-range set like this one, the focus here is more on playability than on it being a display item. The ship looks great, but the functional elements are clearly geared towards play.
- The first thing that you’ll likely notice is the swing-wing mechanism. The wings have a parked mode and an in-flight mode, and all you have to do to put them in flight mode is point them back by using the pivoting system.
- The interactive armaments are also a sign that this is a set to play with. If you need to have a shootout, your ship has some spring-loaded shooters and adjustable frontside blasters.
- You’ll also notice (especially if you are familiar with the U-Wing from 2016) that there is a troop bay to add a layer of playability to the set.
Minifigures
The Rebel U-Wing Starfighter set comes with a good lineup of interesting minifigures.
First up is a Cassian Andor minifig, complete with a unique facial expression and outfit that fits in well in any Andor-themed scene. There are also a couple of minifigs that are unique to this set: the newly designed K-2SO droid and Dedra Meero.
To add to the Andor-era Star Wars theme, the design team at LEGO also included an Imperial officer.
Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle (75406)
Another great gift idea would be Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle. While this set focuses more on displayability than playability, its impressive size and low piece count make it a good option for anyone looking for an adult build that isn’t too challenging.
Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle is being released this year to commemorate the 10th anniversary of The Force Awakens. There have been other releases of this ship in the past (in 2015 and 2019), but this Upsilon-class shuttle is the first version to be added to the LEGO Starship Collection lineup.
The updated design features an angular design and new building techniques to achieve a sleeker and more streamlined appearance than the older models that looks great either by itself on a shelf or as part of a fleet.
It’s also good to point out that this set is very easy to display. It comes with a sturdy stand and informational plaque that includes the ship’s name.
Collector Notes
There are no minifigs that come with this year’s rendition of Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle since it is a set focused mainly on being a display piece, but there are many other features that collectors will like.
Here are a few of the highlights:
- For collectors looking for specific ships from the latter part of the Star Wars timeline, Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle represents an important period in the saga.
- This set is also perfect for fans who want a new adult-focused build that isn’t a huge commitment in terms of time and skill.
- Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle is a necessary buy for collectors looking to complete the Starship Collection lineup.
Chopper (C1-10P): Buildable Droid (75416)
2025 marks the first year that we’ve had access to a large-scale model of Chopper (C1-10P). The beloved astromech droid is well known for its appearance on both Ahsoka and Star Wars Rebels. Fans love this droid for its personality, and LEGO did an outstanding job recreating that in this impressive set. Chopper is an obvious choice for anyone looking for a buildable droid like fan favorites R2-D2 or C-3PO.
Design Elements
There are quite a few design elements that fans will love about this set. Anyone familiar with the droid will know that it has a signature head wobble and grumpy attitude. LEGO included a mechanism to help fans replicate some of that in this set.
There is a lever in the back of the droid that controls the head wobble, and the arms are also posable. This means that although Chopper is designed to be a display piece, it also has some playability features to make it a bit more fun. Do you have a favorite scene with Chopper as a main character? It could be fun to replicate that scene in your display.
Another thing that fans will enjoy is the intricate design work. You get everything from mismatched legs to weathered paneling to exposed wiring to help sell the appearance that Chopper is so famous for.
Like others included on this list of May the 4th releases, the Chopper set comes with a nice display stand and informational plaque.
Minifigures
There is one minifig included in this set. Along with the large buildable droid, we also get Chopper in its minifig form. Fans will appreciate the detailed printing on this minifigure, as it is very close to the on-screen look that we’re used to.
Collector Notes
As with the other sets on this list, this one comes with some features that collectors will certainly like.
- Compatibility with previous buildable droids is a major highlight. Chopper’s design matches the others in terms of scale, complexity, and overall appearance. So, if you are looking to add this set to your buildable R2-D2 (75379) or any of the others, you won’t have to worry about it looking the part.
- Serious hobbyists will also appreciate the relatively high piece count. With over 1,000 pieces, Chopper brings an engaging building experience that will surely be satisfying.
Brick-Built Star Wars Logo (75407)
Another first for this year is a Star Wars logo. This set is aimed squarely at serious collectors who want to showcase their collection of Star Wars display pieces in style. What better way to label your collection than with a brick-built logo?
Whether you collect ships, helmets, or UCS builds, it’s essential to have a classic Star Wars logo that captures the nostalgic look and feel of the classic Star Wars title screen. This self-standing set is 5 inches tall and 12 inches wide.
Key Features
While this set is ‘just a logo,’ there should be no surprise that LEGO found a way to make it interesting.
- The first thing that you’ll notice is the true-to-life color. The bold yellow color of the Star Wars logo is unmistakable.
- Instead of being a smooth, flat surface, though, LEGO designers went for a textured approach, using stacked bricks, slopes, and plates.
- Within the intricate design are some Easter eggs, which fans will surely love. While building, fans will see micro-scale models of classics like the Tantive IV and the Imperial Star Destroyer baked right into the logo.
BrickHeadz: Luke Skywalker – Rebel Pilot (40795) & Revenge of the Sith Heroes & Villains (40796)
For BrickHeadz fans, we get two different sets this time around. LEGO decided to give us a single BrickHeadz version of Luke Skywalker (as a Rebel Pilot) and another set featuring a pack of popular characters. Both of these sets add well to previous releases, and they make for fantastic gifts thanks to their relative simplicity and low cost.
Here are some of the key features of these two sets.
Luke Skywalker
The Luke Skywalker BrickHeadz release features an orange flight suit and white helmet. There is a red Rebel insignia on the helmet and a built-in visor. This set also comes with a BrickHeadz baseplate and nameplate.
Collectors will likely pick the set up to match it with previous BrickHeadz characters like Princess Leia, Boba Fett, or Han Solo.
Revenge of the Sith Heroes & Villains
LEGO doesn’t release multipacks of BrickHeadz very often, and this set is one of the biggest packs ever. If you can’t tell by the name, this set is especially perfect for fans of Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.
The BrickHeadz included in this set are Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Emperor Palpatine, and General Grievous. Each one comes with signature characteristics, and the set as a whole provides a perfect balance of light and dark.
Collector Notes
For serious collectors, the Revenge of the Sith Heroes & Villains set will likely be very popular. A few of these BrickHeadz will probably never be released with the same designs, and the unique box art will also make this a future collector’s item.
Helmet Collection: The Jango Fett Helmet (75408) & The Kylo Ren Helmet (75415)
Also included in the 2025 May the 4th event are two fan-favorite helmets: the Jango Fett Helmet and the Kylo Ren Helmet. Both of these helmets match the others in the lineup perfectly, and for anyone collecting sets from this line, picking these two up this year is a no-brainer.
Jango Fett Helmet
Jango Fett’s helmet is iconic, to say the least. It has shown up in movies and series, and now (finally) in the LEGO Helmet Collection. This version of the helmet captures the look of the silver and blue Mandalorian style from Attack of the Clones.
Other than the sleek color scheme, the Jango Fett helmet features an interactive rangefinder and realistic shaping thanks to the updated plate and slope piece design.
Kylo Ren Helmet
This helmet is one of the more unique entrants to the LEGO Helmet Collection. It is modeled after the reforged helmet from the movie The Rise of the Skywalker. Fans of the sequel trilogy will certainly appreciate this addition.
The main features of this helmet are the silver accents that replicate the reforging process and the asymmetrical shaping that imbibes the chaos that encircles Kylo Ren’s character.
Collector Notes
- The only other Mandalorian helmet in the LEGO Helmet Collection line is the Boba Fett helmet. That means this Jango Fett set will be an interesting addition to a serious collection.
- Collectors will appreciate that the design of the Jango Fett Helmet follows the earlier renditions instead of the Disney+ version.
- Collectors will appreciate the dark, visual contrast that Kylo Ren’s helmet brings to the collection.
Gifts That Come With Early Purchases: Explained
If you are looking for more details about the incentives that LEGO is offering for this year’s early birds, here’s a quick overview to use as a reference. But first, please note that you can only unlock these awards if you purchase from May 1st to May 4th.
There are many different gifts on offer this year, and each is unlocked in a different way. For many of them, LEGO uses a tier-based system, and higher tiers are unlocked at different price points. The awards unlocked at higher tiers are more exclusive and have greater collectible value.
Tier 1
The first tier is triggered at $40 (in North America) spent on the LEGO Star Wars sets from this guide. The gift at this tier is a micro-scale model of the Millennium Falcon. The set is comprised of 74 pieces and will very likely become a collector’s item.
Tier 2
At $160, you can unlock the second tier. At this level, fans get a 190-piece diorama called the Kamina Training Facility. Included in the set are three exclusive minifigures (Clone Cadets) and a patrol vehicle (KE-8 Enforcer).
Tier 3
The third tier is unlocked with the purchase of the UCS set, Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship. To unlock this tier, it is also necessary to be a member of LEGO Insiders. The gift with purchase at this level is Jango Fett’s Starship Key Chain (5009394). The keychain is very nice-looking and will almost certainly become a collector’s item as soon as the 4th passes.

In addition to getting promotional gifts through LEGO set purchases, there are also some exclusive rewards that are only available to members of the LEGO Insiders program. The program has a points system, and as fans build up points, they can use their point balance to unlock limited-time collectibles.
For this year’s May the 4th event, LEGO Insiders have access to:
- Joe Hogan Poster: The title of this poster is “Flying with the Fetts,” and it requires 1,800 LEGO Insider points to obtain.
- LEGO Star Wars Pencil Case: To get the tin pencil case, all you need is 1,000 points. The case comes with stickers showing some classic minifigs.
- Jango Fett’s Firespray Starship Lenticular Coin: At the top of the list is a collectible coin. It takes 2,500 Insider points to unlock this reward.
As a reminder, the only way to unlock these Insider Rewards is to redeem them during the prescribed timeframe.
