[USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds

Check your Targets, I went to one store today and christmas/seasonal was 70% off. I only found 1 Target practice and 1 HP polybag, but they were 70% off so $1.05 and $1.20 respectively. Good find if your store has stock.

Most of the Targets near me were sold out of Target Practice well before Christmas. I would have loved to scoop up a small army at 50% off and a huge army at 75-90% off. But you take what you can get, I guess.

It is YMMV on this one. I was at five different Targets this week. All had the HP but no target practice. I went to one quite a distance away and they had a few target for 70. When I got back to the area I stopped in and they were still at fifty %. So strange.

And the prices for the PQ and the games were all over the map from store to store.

I got five of the HP polybags for half off (cleaned them out I think), and one Meteor Strike game for half off. This was a couple hours ago. In the Lego aisle, there were a lot of discounts, mostly 15-20% off and no more.

This was in San Jose, store at Capitol and Silver Creek.

Went to Mt View CA store this afternoon for something completely unrelated to LEGO (hard to believe, right?). Sale looked pretty unimpressive as far as LEGO is concerned. A Whitecap bay marked down to $51.00. Some Cars sets marked down a bit. Quite a few 8078 Portal of Atlantis marked down to $70. Yawn.

However I did pick up 27 HP polybags at $1.19 each; going to use them as favors at my son's birthday party next week. The Republic Cruiser polybag scanned at $3.99 however. Also picked up a 7158 Furno Bike for a whopping $3.76. It doesn't have great reviews, but at that price ($0.02 per piece) I'll figure something to use it for.

No luck at the Target I went to. Went to the Christmas Clearance aisles and also near the front and found no LEGO. Republic Cruiser and Army Jeep both scanned at full price in the LEGO aisle.

Oh, forgot: Mt View CA store had plenty of Star Wars Advent Calendars that scanned at $27.98.

I don't want to be a downer but based on what I have seen the Republic Cruiser pollybag is not included in the current clearance. They are scaning full price. I think the only pollybags included are Harry Potter and tje Yarget Practice bags.

I've only seen the target practice and HP bags on clearance. I think at Halloween they made an error and included all polybags.

I went to another Target today and found 6 HP polys under some other xmas stuff. Be prepared to really dig around, the christmas aisles look like a bomb hit them, everything is all mixed up and all over the place. At this rate it looks doubtful that they will lastt until the 90% markdown, but YMMV for sure.

Disappointing trip to Target today, no sign of any polybags. :( What a waste of time.

I'm curious, if the polybags happen to last, how long they let the 70% go until 90%.
For Halloween, I'm fairly certain I bought .39 polybags on 11/7. I don't remember how long, though, it took to go from 50% to 70% to 90%. Must've been within 7 days, apparently. :)
Tomorrow would be the 7th day of clearance starting on the 26th, but it only started 70% today (for most stores).

I watched the last Target Practice bag get snagged, but there were a couple dozen Harry Potter labs. Hoping a few last 'til the 90%.

Went to my local Target and managed to snag 2 target practice sets. No Harry Potter sets from what I could see.

I went to my local Target today and although there were a lot of Holiday aisles left at 70% off, there were no Lego polybags. I was hoping to grab some target practice sets.
I did snag the Lego Meteor Strike game for $5.90, they had a lot of those marked at the clearance price.

Bakersfield Targets are so far a pretty big dissapointment, although I did find an Earth Dragon Defense for 13.50. As far as polybags though, only checked the Super Target (on Stockdale Highway) and only had the Mini Cruiser at full retail still. Gonna check the other three tomorrow.
