Used this sale to buy the new Red Cargo Train in New Hampshire (no sales tax either)

I'm surprised this isn't front-paged. I got Diagon Alley (in stock) and Grand Emporium (sold out) delivered for $120 each with tax and a $3.50 CMF thrown in. You can get the Imperial Flagship for $140 +tax. I missed out on the Medieval Market last week; I hope it isn't discontinued yet.

Sadly, TRU shipped the two individual minifigs separately. I think they would have came out ahead if they had lowered the threshold to $149.

This is at least the third thread regarding this deal. I am sure almost everyone is aware of it by now.

I guess there's no room on the front page with the twice a week updates on the Amazon prices for Gateway of the Squid, Quest Against Time and Fight for the Dagger.

How about you take some time to bother to read the forums / messages instead?

This was already addressed by a Poll done last week, no need to snipe. As previously posted, there are already a number of threads regarding this topic... not every topic gets front paged... nor should they... i don't want every good deal ruined by someone reposting to slickdeals just because it was trumpeted on the front page instead of in the forums for loyal TnB members .
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I tried to give TRU my money but they don't want it. I'll be travelling in the US this weekend (from Canada) so I thought I'd place an order for in-store pickup and take advantage of this $40/off. Unfortunately they only accept US credit cards so I'm out of luck. Called customer service after trying on the web and got the same answer.

EDIT :

Just went and tried again and got it to go through. Paid with Paypal and used the store address as my billing address. I hope this works out for me :)

You are a genius barrett! I was trying to think of a work-a-round myself. Wonder if you could buy a Walmart gift card / Visa gift card that is pre-loadable?

The biggest problem for you is going to be where to have it delivered i think =) On a previous forum (I believe in the B&N topic) there is information that someone uses to order in the US and have it shipped to singapore...should have some sort of similar, cheaper option for Canucks I would think.

Paypal & Toyrus has worked for a while for Canadian's, I use it all the time. However, I have a verified U.S. address, I address packages in my American friends name and provide his local U.S. phone (and they call all the time)

I don't think your strategy will work, but good luck.

OK, front paged...my apologies, but my kid started school this week and I've been "off the grid" for a day or two.

Does anyone know how long this offer is good for? I looked at the TRU details, but didn't see an end date.

Does anyone know how fast they ship? I ordered the Tower Bridge set with last's week's promotion + the facebook coupon and it hasn't shipped yet. Then I picked up Grand Emporium Saturday and they shipped the minifig but not the set. Come on already TRU.

My local has a hanging sign that has the same deals as last week with the addition of the 40 for 150.

Bad decision IMO. Definately won't be able to get any of the "Hot Sellers" now... wonder how long it will be before Slickdeals cleans out everything good. Ah well, do what ya gotta do.

I bought a Tower Bridge with a Facebook coupon before the $40 off $150 came out... I JUST got it on Tuesday. So it took like almost 2 weeks. Don't fret it will come!

I brought my Grand Emporium that I bought back in June and was able to return and repurchase it in store with the $40 off (even with the subtotal $149.99) and I got the free HP Poly as well ;)

My orders have been taking 3-4 business days to ship... I got both by Tower Bridge and GR.
