How painful is shipping to the States? I missed out on a lot of the Monster Fighter sets due to a lack of fun-funds at the time.

I think shipping from canada to the us is more expensive than the other way around.

Bought 9467 and 9468 at TRU tonight. Asked customer service if I could price adjust them as they are running 40% off tomorrow, and YES!

There are still one 9468, a couple 9467 and lots of other MF sets (excluding 10228 and 9465) at the Richmond Hill TRU as of tonight before I left there.

TRU in Burlington fairly well stocked at opening, grabbed the Castle, Mad Scientist lab and couple of mummy sets for those glowing horse skeletons. Bigger sets not in great abundance but tons of smaller sets.

It looks like TRU upped the price on MF items prior to the sale. There's no way the Monster Lab thing was $90 before this.....also the Wolf set was $25, not $30. Brutal.

Right. The only MF set they didn't mark up is 9467 The Ghost Train.

I stopped by the Toys R Us Express at Brentwood Mall and the guy seemed to not know about the sale and said it's not offered there. Since I already got 9467 and 9468 on sale previously I didn't feel like pressing it. Some horrid mark ups there, though they did have the Ghost Train for MSRP, if someone wanted to try their luck there. But the MF sets weren't marked up just for this sale, they've always been marked up. That's why they still have so much stock this long after production ended.

A lot of the time TRU Express won't have the same sales as TRU Original Recipe.

I was planning on picking up another mummy set, because I wanted to get a second skeleton horse. I checked the website and found out the "regular" price is $20, and sale price of $12. The MSRP is actually $15, so works out to 20% off. Not a fan of TRU.

I noticed the price increase as well. I don't recall whether the mark up was just prior to this sale or had be increased some time ago. In any case, shaddy move. Glad I walked out of TRU empty handed.

It doesn't make it any better really but MF line was all marked up at TRU since they introduced it, it wasn't done just for the sale. Ghost Train is mysteriously at MSRP though as mentioned.

hmmm i couldn't check the price on lego.ca, so thought it was perfect time to pick up MF sets before retiring, guess not all the sets are on awesome deal.
