You are way lucky, the deal was dead in 99.9% of stores of all types by Monday night. Toys R Us pulled the sets from the shelvesand have them hiding in the back.

I found a City Starter set 60023 at a local Goodwill store for $5.49 (retail $29.99) Box was torn open and retaped. All the polybags were sealed, Sticker sheet and instructions were all there. Only thing missing was the free comic book.

Found a batwing poly today at target, it wouldn't ring up so they gave it to me for $0.39 :-D the same target had a ton more of the HMCs for 12.73 no joke, price cut off the "original" price of.... $14.98 needless to say I picked up two more, at least a half dozen left

Don't know how this happened but I was in the local TRU today and found a 9496 Desert Skiff shoved behind a bunch of Star Wars sets. It had a $29.99 sticker on it so I thought I'd scan it just for giggles. IT RANG UP AT .03CENTS  . So I picked up that, a Star Wars advent calendar and a series 12 pizza guy minifig, used my 15% off coupon, for a total of $40.50 with tax. Not too shabby for TRU.
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

Opps. 3 and 4 cent things at TRU are meant to go into the back and donated to charity. You are stealing toys from needy children now. :P

Thats ok. They already have enough One Direction dolls to last them a lifetime so they should be good to go.

LOL, do they have that in Canada?

Also, I'm probably going to get a steal after Christmas since I found a Snowman polybag at Target and it'll probably go for half off afterwards.

Well, pulled the trigger and bought 10 of the creative towers at $30.00 each. So $300.00 for 16000 pieces.

So is everyone buying this set reselling or using to build random MOCs?

I wanted x2. One for my son and one for myself. I was only able to get one. I'm using it to build MOCs. I'm sure some are doing the same while others are reselling them  Today (Saturday.. 2nd day after Thursday sale) I managed to find one online at a store 30 minutes from my house (hold for pick up) but unfortunately it is back to $59.99 instead of $29.99. I didn't go after it. I saw an Amazon listing that was selling them for $80 each

Funny thing is that today, Sunday, after getting back from Orlando I decided to go to an "out of the way"/ghetto Wally and I found 1 Tower; it was still $30!!

So it may have been worth going after it, maybe? Or it could be one of those YMMV situation.

So Black Friday/weekend is done.

Got 1 Creative Tower plus 2 on order, I hope Wally don't back out on me. I still have to get the shipping email.
Went to Orlando, FL with the family and was extremely surprise to find that the Lego "store" in Downtown Disney was stock with new pieces. It may not sound like a great steal, but for me who lives far from the place I feel like I hit a gold mine.

Pieces they had, please excuse my ignorance in regards to parts number or names:

Door frames 1x4x6 (white).
Doors with 4 mini windows (white).
Window frames 1x4x3 (white).
Window glass- opening for the frames.
Tiles 1x8 (white).
Wall panels transparent 1x2x2
Brackets 1x2 2x2 (white).
Bricks 1x1x5 (white).
Bricks 1x2x5 (white).
Panels 6x6 dark grey.
Panels 4x6-tan.
Panels 4x6- white.
Panels 4x6- black.
Bricks 1x2 and 2x4- browns.
Bricks 1x8- white.
Bricks 1x4- tan.
Finally as I was filling my two large cups as tight as I could, one of the employee approach me and we started talking. She helped a little with the cups and to my utter excitement she offered me 2 horses!!!
She got them out of her apron since they were not on the wall.

I will say it was pretty awesome. :-D

While I resell, I just don't bother with bulk stuff. I buy sets, if they go up precipitously before I open them, I sell them. If not, more brick. I bought it to try and replenish my dwindling supply of basic brick after building that monster train station, which definitely weighs in at over 8000 bricks, and might weigh in at over 16000.

Yeah, I'm wondering if anyone else got it free. All I bought was two keychains to get the two free mini figures, and a 50% off turkey. $5 in credit, it was 10.39$. The TMNT keychain is backorder, but I doubt they give me such a large set to make up for that. Even on the order form is had it as free.
