I like this mini model, too bad I'm too old to qualify for it.

I really like the cat one too. Waiting to catch it at a discount. So far I've only seen it drop as low as $18

Target has them for $16-17 quite often.

Interesting, tonight our store (Sherway/Toronto) was trying something different - once you were getting near the front of the line, they'd offer you the polybag to take & go, or you could go in and do the build as usual. Certainly sped things up, as it seems most people opted to take the bag & go. They said they were doing it because too many were complaining about the long line waits.

Did this happen anywhere else?
LEGO, it's not just a toy, it's an addiction... ;)

^ Yes, my friend at the Danbury, CT store said the same thing. He was rightly concerned that people would take the bagged set and then go into the store to shop, thus taking up all the space for the people who wanted to build in-store. He also said the line was the longest yet. By the time my daughter and I got there, no evidence of that line remained and we waited behind maybe 6 people total (a pair of parents and their kids).

It happened here in Rockland, NY. I was told that the mall in Westchester fined Lego for having a line outside the store. Never happened here. No word if they will do it next month. About 60% of the group took them to go instead of building them at the store.

HA! What a joke! That mall is always a ghost-town. Every time I've been there I feel like I could count on my fingers and toes how many people I see there, aside from store employees. They should be so lucky as to have a large line at one of their stores.

But I guess it doesn't surprise me all that much, seeing as how you also have to pay to park there. They obviously make all their money by charging customers and businesses extra where they can.

Tysons Corner in VA did the same. Several hundred people show up for this each month. Line starts around 430pm and for the start giving them out at 5pm. By 530 they stop as they are out of stock. Most people grab and go now. So the store is not as crazy afterwards.

Hi, I picked up two gingerbread house monthly minibuilds on ebay. Would be willing to trade one for this monkey. Private message me if interested!
