This is just too funny saw an empty box of these minifigs at my local TRU but they had at least 1 full box of LEGO CMF's on the shelf.

That would be because the HALO fans don't know any better.

I can't believe that LEGO lost that copyright in the EU about people copying their trademark stuff...I swear Megablocks corporate design team just hangs around on the internet and LEGO stores looking for crap to rip off from LEGO.

Playing with LEGO when I can. Where does the time go?

I don't really like Megablocks stuff but the halo figures is really competative to Lego. They look nice.

Ive never bought Mega bloks, nor am I a huge fan of Halo (One was groundbreaking for the hours upon hours we spent playing multiplayer, havent played Reach since I was so disappointed with the games following Halo One)

But I might pick up some of the smaller sets at the CDN TRU sale just for the figures, and sell the parts on fleabay or something.

interestingly, when I bought some kid's Lego collection off craiglist's, I got one of those battlepacks with the anti-air turret. The spartans are fairly detailed but the weapons were somewhat meh. Fun to play with though, pitting them against clone troopers.

Megablocks may be a copycat, but at least they're not a chinese company with cheapo product. They're based in Quebec, if I'm not mistaken and manufacture most of their product in Canada.

I don't collect Megablocks, but I have sorted a good amount of them out of used Lego lots I've bought in the past. The Megablocks usually get sent over to Grandma's house for all of the grandkids to play with. They don't really recognize the difference and like them just the same as real Legos.
