Target Clearance (YMMV) (CAN)

Post by markg11cdn » Tue Dec 17, 2013 6:47 am

My local Target put a bunch of sets on clearance yesterday. Seemed like most were at 50% off. I picked up the following :

41001 Friends Mia's Magic Tricks, $6.49
3930 Friends Stephanie's Outdoor Bakery, $4.29
44012 Hero Factory AQUAGON, $5.99
70404 King's Castle, $64.99

Also saw the following on clearance (didn't buy so not sure of the price, but probably 50% off) :

79109-1: Colby City Showdown
79110-1: Silver Mine Shootout
9515-1: Malevolence
41011-1: Stephanie's Soccer Practice
41002-1: Emma's Karate Class

If you find any good deals at your Target, please consider purchasing an extra set and donating it to your local toy drive.

cheers - mark

I bought Kings Castle for 50% off on Sunday, YMMV I guess. I didn't even realize it was on sale until I was at the cashier

checked quinjet at one location and it was still $90.

this is madness. most sets above $30 are gone. got lucky and snatched the last lone ranger train which was on my list. i wonder how big this lego community is. most people are just peeps i guess.

Went to my Target store again and the lone ranger train set was all gone. They had like 8 of them.

Thanks for the update.

My Target didn't have any Super Heroes sets on clearance. :( Going to have to check out other Target Stores.

All of the Lone Ranger sets are 50% off as are numerous other city sets like police station, cargo truck, Grand Prix truck, cement mixer and tanker truck. Also some duplo sets that I also got for my son.

Picked up Colby City Showdown, Silver Mine Shootout and Constitution Train Chase. Not particularly fond of the movie, but I'm a big fan of the sets.

I'm happy that Target clears their clearance by slashing the price in half, as opposed to Toys R Us Canada's 'take $10 off and let it languish on the shelves for months' method.

Thanks for the heads up.

Target had Galaxy Squad at 50% off, then they had what's leftover at 70% off. Just saying this because MAYBE, the leftover will be 70% off.. but I highly doubt anything will be.

Hold on to your receipts, if it drops to 70% off within 14 days they will price adjust. I managed to get a
L of my galaxy squads adjusted.

^Do the items need to be in stock for the adjustment?

The best is to buy it at the very last minute so you are still within the 14 days period..

well to me its getting difficult to find the best time to buy in the past year or so; usually when that happens people already beat me to those last minute deals. on the other hand, my lifestyle probably changed and less time for the hobby. i just think that more people are into lego deals than a few years ago.

managed to find a Constitution Train and the Shootout Lone Ranger set... not much left.. actually not much lego at all at Target.. the shelves were bare..

I did manage to get Toys R Us to Price Match the train set as well so it was $65-10% + tax.. not too shabby! My son will be spoiled on Christmas with this deal!
