This would be even better if there was a discount promotion on super hero sets as well

What sort of value would that mini figure have?

What is that based on? Once this set is released more the Robin minifigures will drop in price. I'd say it will settle at $5-10.

So definitely not worth paying MSRP for an item or items to get a free minifigure.

Yes, i missed the question. The minifig alone $5. The polybag sealed i can see selling between $10 and $20. Depends on when you wish to sell it.

There's no other promotions on super hero sets. If I recall correctly, they have 20% off Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Technic and 20% off select Chima and Hero Factory.

Yeah every time I find a polybag I only buy one, then they are always $13-$20 on the secondary market, and yet I still only buy one.

TRU has a policy, if they can scan it they can sell it! So if you only want the polybag / don't want to spend $30, see if they can scan it  Just wonder how much they charge for it? And if they can scan it, and you buy $30 worth of the poly, would you get another one for free?

YES! That's how I got a slew of Chrome Stormtroopers a couple years back - it was a BOGO 50% off promo on Star Wars LEGO, and then you got a free Chrome Stormtrooper with a purchase of $25 or more or something. So I bought $25 worth of Chrome Stormtroopers at BOGO50% then got a free one... or something like that. I don't exactly remember. But it was two promos that stacked, I'm sure of that. The guy behind the counter was just as intrigued as I was if it would all work out. I'm sure he bought a bunch himself when he clocked out.

So I went to TRU and asked the sales associate if they could sell the Robin Cycle by itself. She was unsure, called her manager, came back and was like "my manager said to just give it to you.". No purchase, just straight up gave me the set! Right on TRU  !!

I went to a TRU in Vaughan today and they had several polybags out on display. I grabbed two and went to try find a price with their scanner. Came up price not found. I found a store associate who happened to be a supervisor that said 'where did I find them, they are not for sale they are give aways.' I took her to the display and asked her if I could buy them, she said no and gave them to me.

Looking for a trade. Since it seems like some can pick them up for free somebody might want to do a trade. Here in Denmark a toychain had a special polybag/minifigure done(their logo) If somebody would trade 30166 for this http://www.br.dk/serier/lego/f%C3%A6tte ... vid=155106" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, let me know. I'll also help out anybody else WHO wants as long as they pay cost and shipping
