Nice, but yeah the TRU taxin' effect. Fred Meyer used to consistently get them early but last time with 9 none of the closer locations had them out before any other retailers. They may have been nabbed up quick but there were no ripples in the local community about it. I wondering if it will be the same this time!JeagerEX wrote:Please check this out:

Re: CMF Series 10 listed at TRU
I'm honestly a little hesitant to order Series 10 online. It seems to me everybody knows about Mr. Gold, even people who aren't collectors. If the people that pack these online orders have any time/accessibility to feel up these bags before they're packed, I wouldn't doubt it happens.
I'll never forget back during Series 7, I ordered 4 CMF bags from TRU online and was less than pleased to receive 3 fitness instructors.

Where do you buy your unopened cases from?
Does anyone have an idea of much the Series 10 case will sell for? I'm going to assume around $200?

A case is usually just under $200. But since probably only 1 out of 100 cases will have one of these (if that), you'd have more luck investing your money in the lottery.
There are about 5,000 Wal Mart stores, 2,000 Target stores, plus LEGO, Toys R Us, Shopko, Barnes and Noble, and countless other regional and specialty stores carrying these. Most of the big box stores will get 2-4 cases per shipment, generally with a few restocks. Let's figure 10,000 stores with 10 cases per store, that's 100,000 cases. That's just in the US. Figure international sales double that. 5,000 figures in 200,000 cases, would be five cases out of every 200, but I suspect that there are more than 200K cases of these produced, so the number is probably closer to 1 in 100. It isn't even worth searching for these. The odds that one will show up in your City are astronomical, and that you'd be the lucky person to find it? Again if you are that lucky you should be buying a lottery ticket and not a minifig.

I do feel there will be a lot more of this series produced. Lego knows once word of Mr. Gold gets out, many non-collectors and speculators will start buying these up.

Totally agree, supply and demand will drive the price of the regular 16 figures down, which is great news.bobl wrote:I do feel there will be a lot more of this series produced. Lego knows once word of Mr. Gold gets out, many non-collectors and speculators will start buying these up.

I just searched 9 (6 were still sealed and the rest were practically untouched) cases at Fred Meyer (Ballard) and came up empty handed. I know the odds are against us but still a bummer!

TRU in Stevenson Ranch, California has one box.
The store has took to labeling the content (i.e. ID the minifigure) with Post-Its.
Probably pre-empting the Mr. Gold frenzy.

Any Floridians find 'em?
Re: CMF Series 10 listed at TRU
Found today at 2 NH TRUs (Salem and Manchester). I was able to purchase 32 which brought my total just over $100, giving me the $25 off Lego deal. Plenty were left at both locations mid-afternoon.
