Has this ever happened to you?
So the other day I cracked open Jabba's Palace. I got my camera out, and started putting it together, documenting it as I went. This is one of the few Star Wars sets that I decided to buy because even though it was a rediculous price, its a great set.
So anyway, I finish putting it together, and my kids want to play with it. So I tell them to be very careful with it as I plan to display it.
After they are done playing, I make sure all the parts are there, and take it down to my office. I leave it on a shelf and come back to it yesterday. I go to move it to its permanent spot and discover the Princess Leia figure is gone. I spent the better part of an hour looking for it, no luck. I figure it either fell off somewhere between the place I put it together and my office, or it fell off somewhere in my office (which is way overloaded with stuff). That figure was the one I wanted the most. ARGH!!!!! Wish me luck trying to find something that small.

Has she been carbonite-frozen? Or hiding inside the month of Rancor? Or lining up at your Desert Skiff (may mix up with the bounty hunters)?

She's on my bed...

"Princess Leia where are you tonight?" - Blink 182
I would take the day off of work. If that isn't possible go ahead and quit your job. She needs to be found now. I hate it when I misplace things. Even my son's Duplo bucket says there are 31 pieces in it. I count them when I put them back inside. Even one of his missing pieces throws me for a loop and I don't need that.
Good luck,
Jared

Did you mean Boushh or Leia as a slave?
Boushh:
Princess Leia (Jabba Slave) in the old 4480 Palace set or old 6210 Jabba's Sail Barge set.
This new one do not have the Princess as a slave, the comming soon 75020 will.

Replacing Leia
1. Google Lego Jabba Palace set instructions. Find out which bag Leia is in.
2. Go 2 store with wife. Find set. Open box. Find numbered bag with Leia. Put it In wife's handbag.
Not funny. I bought Quinjet Aerial Battle a couple months ago. pened it up Bag 1 gone. Im guessing with the wife and Google...Who knows.....got a refund.

This is why I only buy online now. I got sick of having to remember to check every taped corner so I know everything is fine online, plus the deals are better. LEGO really needs to o back to gluing boxes.

I have her locked up in my minifig shoebox. You can always BrickLink another one of her. I hate losing minifigs.

No doubt that as soon as I buy a replacement for her off bricklink, she'll turn up in a shoe or something. Hmm, (off to check shoes).

The glued box is just as bad or even worst since it is pretty easy for anyone to glue it back up. I think we need something like this,Brick & Blue wrote:skeet318 wrote:Replacing Leia

Or some sort of seethrough box packaging like in the old days will help.

And I finally found her. (Breathes sigh of relief). My shelving unit has slots in it, she fell through one of the slots on the top shelf, and was lying in another slot on the shelf below. Flashlights are a wonderful thing.

Re: Has this ever happened to you?
Good to here that you found her.
LEGO got rid of the boxes with the plastic lids because they were so easy for people to take the special pieces from. I have never had any issue with normal glue boxes, because people aren't buying the sets and resealing them, then returning them. They are pealig the tape back and then talking the bag with the minifigure they want, then resealing the set in the store. I have never had any issue with mifigures missing in glued boxes, but have had nothing but issues with ones with tape.

Re: Has this ever happened to you?
I was building Bug Obliterator and got to almost the end and didn't have the 1x1 plate w clip. I was so disappointed and went thru all my extras and found one of a different color so ended up asking Lego for a replacement. A couple of days later I found the piece in the pocket of the shorts I was wearing. Still have no idea of how it could have got there.
