Post by tekkamanraiden » Wed Nov 21, 2012 1:16 pm

I just finished reading the Toys R Us flyer and found the following.

The flyer states they are going to be open at 7:00am excluding express location on Friday.

The following is one sale;

20% off Ninjago Samuari Mech (9448), Fangpyre Wrecking Ball (9457) and Ultra Sonic Raider (9449)
25% off Lego Board games (excludes clearance and the Hobbit).
30% of Obi-wan's Jedi Starfighter

Buy one get one 40% off all Lord of the Rings Lego (excludes the Hobbit, Gandalf and Uruk Hai army sets and much be of equal or lesser value).

Free Monster Fighters Minifig (5000644-1) set with purchases over $30 (excludes Lego Friends and Games).

Correction..Excludes the Hobbit Building Sets,
Gandalf & Uruk Hai Army Minifigures (I assume polybags), although I haven't seen a Gandalf Polybag yet.

So they are going to exclude these even when we have not seen the Uruk Hai one yet?

Or they are excluding these which are the cheapest ones they have, and if so that will be a new low Toy R Us have done to date.

Just when I thought Lego Store Black Friday sales were bad, then I see this.

The Monsters Fighters polybag is 5000644-1, it was given away on Day 4 at Fanexpo in Toronto.

The flyer is live on the Toys R Us website.

Oh my god, the one they give out for free at Toys R Us on a Saturday couple of weeks back? Now that is sad.

I am so sick of seeing 20% off deal. It is just the deal that you could easily find at any retail stores in this seasonal shopping. Besides, 20% off could only cover price difference from U.S.A MSRP.

BTW, Lego Batman 2 videogame will be $19.99, and $9.97 for NDS. I believe this gonna be the only thing I will be shopping in this Black Friday that is related to LEGO product.

EDIT: I take my word back. The videogame was not the only LEGO product I will get in this Black Friday because I found 40% off from Walmart Bundle deal. :-)

I already had two 6212 X-wing, when I never expected a new X-wing coming out right after it.

Buy one get one for 50% on Star Wars sets is still pretty sad, I think we all want to see more of what they have last week. Or maybe they should have save that 50% off deal for this week? Toys R Us management are pretty wield at times.

Sith Fury-class interceptor is supposed to be $54.99 tomorrow. Hope its not another one of their flyer mistakes. Toys R us manager told me to buy it today and that she will do price adjustment for me tomorrow.
Bought two sets but I wont be surprised if it turns out to be a misprint in the flyer.

Battle at Helm's Deep kind of error part two any one? Sith Fury-class interceptor came out not long ago, did the manager you talk to meant 7961 Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator instead? Make a little more sense if it was since 40-45% on an older set compared to 55-60% off on a newer set. Could be true, but if it is not, then I sure want some of the stuff that manager is smoking. Also, I notice on the ad, Interceptor is pictured beside X Wing which will be on sale for $54.99 tomorrow. Maybe the manager simply need some glasses?

Page 34 in the flyer. This manger and another employe were under impression that every set on that page is $54.99. I was caught up in the moment and believed them but now I realize that it's only the x wing that's on sale for that price. I guess I'll be returning two sith fury sets back. It wasn't a total waste of my time as I was able to pick up the battle of Endor for $69.99 and a new Hobbit set for $10 off with coupon.

Good for you bro, since I thought all the half price sets were out of stock since Sunday across Canada.

Is there also a free $15 saving card with over $100 purchase?

Yes but it require you to use within a certain time, even with that, this sale is still not strong enough for me to buy anything sadly.

I figured out that I can use it in DEC 1 'cause my local mall will have a tax free event that time:)
