What Star Wars set(s) are you purchasing on May 4th?

Post by kraftcheesy » Tue Apr 17, 2012 1:15 pm

Hiya,

I thought I'd ask this question to see what sets people are planning on purchasing that equal out to more than $75 from shop.lego.com or the Lego Store on May 4th/5th to receive your free TC-14 figure?

I'm having trouble getting excited over most of the current sets out and the new summer sets won't be around for the promotion. Anyone have any particular sets in mind that they recommend to buy on May 4th?

Thanks in advance!

R2-D2

but I'm not sure I really want the TC14, so I'll probably end up selling it

No kidding on selling a TC-14. I went to see if I could buy one just now and somehow people acquired some already and are charging $70-100 for them on ebay.

That's just crazy.

As for the X-wing. I already have the Dagobah X-wing with Yoda's hut otherwise that would be my choice.

R2-D2 is looking like the best option but it is insanely expensive.

Exactly. Unless they have free shipping and some good sales this year (unlike last years snore fest) I won't be getting anything.

If the UCS R2-D2 is out, that might be my choice.

It would be nice if they gave us the 75-90% off glitch sale which happened a few years ago.

Be at my new job abroad that week. Doubt I'd have time or resources to check out the deals. Picked up the Tantive IV this time last year and felt I got a good deal.

Good luck to you all, may your wallets forgive you.

I did the same thing last year. The UCS shuttle is one that i need to get. So I'm hoping that's on sale. Also I'll probably get my fix on CMF7 and hopefully I can get a couple TC-14 figs.

"May the 4th be with you" happens every year.
LEGO runs sales on Star Wars sets and has exclusive offers.

Do they typically do free shipping during this promo or no? Am I correct that it has to be a $75 SW purchase?

I'd love to get R2-D2, but it's kind of a lot to spend and I might have to hold off on that one for a bit.

Maybe 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor and another set?
