Re: Target in store clearance
Pirate tank, venator and endor is a great deal! Is this for online too?
Re: Target in store clearance
Doesn't seem to be - I checked 'Galactic Enforcer' and it's still $99.99.Transformers2 wrote:Pirate tank, venator and endor is a great deal! Is this for online too?
Re: Target in store clearance
I think they are clearancing out at stores to make room for the new ones in a couple of weeks.Transformers2 wrote:Pirate tank, venator and endor is a great deal! Is this for online too?
May not be in all targets, but my guess it will be in most.

Re: Target in store clearance
YMMV of course. Just got back from the Folsom CA Target, none on sale yet.
Re: Target in store clearance
Targets are frustrating, they don't match whats going on from store to store. One can offer a 30% clearance while the next one 5 miles away offers 20% and the next 3 miles away has nothing discounted . . . Not talking about ad prices, just overstock type of discounts. And the ones around Sacramento don't seem to discount very often . . .
Re: Target in store clearance
Good to see someone else posting from Sacramento, Zithy. I saw a couple Titanium Command Rigs for $69.98 at Rancho Cordova, not what I was looking for.
Re: Target in store clearance
Checked two Targets in Northern VA - nothing on clearance except a few small racer sets. Bummer.
Re: Target in store clearance
Checked Target in Carle Place, NY (Long Island) - nothing to note.
Re: Target in store clearance
timing is random. but the discount is not. it starts with 30%, then 50% then 75%. when it reaches 75% you have a week or two to buy it. after which they donate to charity or return to manufacturer.Zithy wrote:Targets are frustrating, they don't match whats going on from store to store. but these days with the stacked coupons at borders, bn, kmart all giving crazy discounts of 40-50% i would hesitate to buy unless the set is exclusive to target or it's going for 75%.
borders sometimes has the "buy $50 gc get $10 free" promo. stock up on the giftcards and use it with one of the 40% coupon. even if they overprice the item, you still get it for like 40% or better out of pocket.
Re: Target in store clearance
The problem is everyting at Borders is a 20% markup it seems - so even the 40% coupon only gets you 20% net off.natelite wrote:timing is random. but the discount is not. it starts with 30%, then 50% then 75%. when it reaches 75% you have a week or two to buy it. after which they donate to charity or return to manufacturer.Zithy wrote:Targets are frustrating, they don't match whats going on from store to store. No sales at Target outside of Charlotte NC. :(
Disclosure of location should be required when listing your finds!

Re: Target in store clearance
My local one had the Galactic Defender for 80 but they were all gone..They had maybe one other set on sale. They most definitely did NOT have Battle of Endor for sale, even though there were 10 of them there. I would've jumped on that bargain in a minute.

Re: Target in store clearance
Many items are on sale now in my target. such as lego garage 7462, no more than $70 now, and city corner, $41. This week is 25-30 % off, and they said there will be a 50 % off starting this Wed Morning, so guys, be prepared then.
I live in Baltimore, MD.

Well anyone in SE Michigan, our store still has most of the clearance sets in stock.

Re: Target in store clearance
I've never seen lego's in the clearance section in Target or TRU in NYC or up in the hudson valley.
Re: Target in store clearance
Hey, slacker - where are you in the HV? I'm in Beacon - and you're right, I've never seen clearance prices at the TRU in Poughkeepsie. I want to check out the Target in Newburgh, though - as it's an older store, was thinking maybe they're more apt to put things on clearance. NYC - forget it, I don't think anyone clears anything out in the city.slacker wrote:I've never seen lego's in the clearance section in Target or TRU in NYC or up in the hudson valley.
Re: Target in store clearance
I'm in Rockland county. I also check out places in NJ since I live on the border. I go to TRU and target in Paramus NJ. No sales like in the Western states that everybody is talking about. I know CT has ridiculous sales in Gamestop that we would never see in NY.
I paid $2.50 for minifigs up here. NYC was $2.99!

They are not in separate location, in aisle with all the LEGO sets.slacker wrote:I've never seen lego's in the clearance section in Target or TRU in NYC or up in the hudson valley.

Re: Target in store clearance
Ah, I have a feeling NJ is too close to the city to have to resort to clearance sales. I might have better luck up here.slacker wrote:I'm in Rockland county. I never saw them in the Poughkeepsie TRU, but I got mine at the Valley Stream TRU on Long Island. They were still $1.99/ea and I had a $10 off $50 coupon so actually ended up paying $1.71/ea. But enough bragging...I paid $2.50 for minifigs up here. NYC was $2.99!
Do you know of any LUGs in the HV area? I've been looking for other enthusiasts...
