VERDICT:
Playability: 5/10. Not much things to play with, you have a fish 'flinger, a shark, two boats, and a spear.
Details: 8.5/10. Nice sticker details.
Peices (not including minifigures): 4/10. Not much new peices; though you have the trophy, spear and shark peices.
Price: 9/10. 191 peices for $20 is good now-a-days
Minifigures: 7.5/10. Only two unique minifigures; they should've included a TW Crew Member.
Overall: 34/50 ~ Good ~ Not the best set of WR but a good one indeed.

Trophy is a unique interesting piece. I don't like the stickers :?

I find it kinda cheap that they don't have visors with the helmets, but I have some that came as extra parts from the SP3 sets, so I'm not all that disappointed. Not a lot of extra pieces in this one, eh?

I'm really diggin' the WR theme, can't wait to get some of these. Hope they do some racing planes in further additions!

The boats are nice and look forward to it. The stickers would be better off as printing. Guess all lego sets comes with stickers now. Quick question, would lego offer replacement of stickers if they peal off after a certain period of time?

Thanks for the review; the fish flinger made me laugh, that's got to be the craziest projectile yet. Too bad about all the stickers.

I don't think LEGO would give free replacements unless the stickers were damaged/faulty to begin with.

I like the shark but I think I would only pick this up if it came on clearance.

There's more reason than just the shark to get this set. The minifigures alone are reason enough to get them. They're new and unique and would be a nice addition to any set :) I like the flaming skull on the back of that one guy's shirt. A nice Post Apoc torso.

They should've used the shark from the Agents set Speedboat Rescue instead - they're bigger.

Its not about the size :P Some people like the classic sharks. They look less cartoony than the new one.

Also Snake Canyon is a bit pricey for the pieces you get. Sure its cool to have two new bikes but what exactly makes it 'Snake Canyon?' They just throw in a snake.

The cartoony 'face' on the newer shark goes along with the cartoony facial prints on the minifigures, IMO.

My favorite is Wreckage Road - the bad guys' car could totally go with the Speed Racer sets!

I suppose you're right about the cartoony effect. The most expensive set so far is my favorite, not that I'd buy it. The minifigures' torso decals are awesome, as are all of their faces. That set also has a working crane that moves out motors and replaces them. It's pretty detailed and adds play value to the set.
