I just learned about this, too, from a link to this website: http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/20587.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm not much of a DC fan, but I'm sure this will be quite a popular theme considering the demand for the Batman theme both when it was available and afterwards. The minifigures look rather odd, I'm not sure exactly why. I hope we'll be able to see pics of the actual sets soon. :)

The main post should be edited. LEGO is launching a line based on DC Universe characters, nonexclusive of Batman.

I knew it. I was on YouTube and The LEGO Club channel uploaded some Batman animations. I instantly knew that they would be re-releasing Batman. Although I am not a big fan, Its great to see them coming out with new sets.

I can't believe I could see batman lego at the shelf again. :D

After batman series was discoutinued at 2008, I thought the next alliance to lego would be Marvel hero because of disney theme. I'm very surprised to see DC Comics hero coming before Marvel.

However, batman lego fans, who paid skyrocketing price for batman lego at ebay, must be very upset.

I'll have to get rid of my old minifigs while they're still worth something so that I can have enough money to buy the new. The minifigs do look kinda strange, perhaps too detailed. I hope they make a ring accessory for green lantern.
When is comic con?

Doubtful. It's not like they are releasing the same sets or figures that were out a few years ago.

May not be exactly the same set, but it could be the same/very similar minifigures. No matter what's the new line going to be like, the secondary market price must definitely drop. Very simple, check with the price and supply curve from econ 101. Would people, who know about this news, still pay THAT much for lego batman at ebay? Yes, those die-hard fans or someone who is very rich may.
