Not full-on alternate instructions, just a modified set of instructions for the same build, in order to motorize it. The Emerald Night has instructions on how to modify it to work with power functions.
Glad you're enjoying that Emerald Night you won :D

That might be the base of one of those 2x2 plates with rotating circle, but an older version. I know I've seen that before, I just don't remember in what.

EDIT:
All RIGHT! Found them. These are actually Tyco bricks. They are termed "super bricks" sometimes. You should be able to find them in super brick tubs or regular sets. On the bloksforum, they have it listed as "D10125 Connector plate 2 x 2 female:female."
_______
I actually found a couple of these in my collection and while I don't have any uses for them yet, they do seem VERY useful if used correctly. They are Mega Bloks and mine are army green and came from the real-looking tank set. They have the nice feature of giving a molded look to an exterior brick. But what is really awesome and what I found out by playing around with them is that you can fit two bricks together top to top. I thought this was pretty inventive.

Jared

I looked it up to make sure, and the instructions for Mega Bloks Tank 9707 does not have any of the parts you have a picture of. My apologies. I thought it was a Mega Blok.

hey I'm trying to order some missing pieces from set #4500. one of the cannons is missing. does anyone know if those are "dark gray" or "dark bluish gray" pieces? It's hard to tell using my pc monitor. I'd hate to have non matching pieces or pay for everything twice :(

According to the Bricklink inventory, they're Dark blue-gray.

It is from 9311 City Buildings Set. There are 3 women in that set..you took the leg, hair and body from 3 different women.

Thanks again. I looked that up and it isn't at all how I remember it. You are definitely right, but I swore she was with a horse and stable. Am I crazy, or is there a set like that?

There are stable sets if that's what you're asking. I don't know how far back you're thinking but the old line Paradisa in the 90s had some stable themed sets. 6419 Rolling Acres Ranch has a girl with a brush. I think she has freckles. 6405 Sunset Stables has two minifigures, one is a girl. 7635 4WD with Horse Trailer has a female rider and is more recent. Those were off the top of my head, but it seems like the stable has been around for awhile, as set 6379 was released in 1986. I didn't know that-it looks like a pretty cool set.

I have no idea where to post this, but I figure here is as good a place as any.

I bought my son the Battle of Endor set for his birthday, and (after three days of building the other dozen sets he received) he finally got around to opening it tonight. In an effort to distract me from his ewoks, he gave me the Leia that was included, and she has a tiny hole in her hair. I assume it's because Lego uses the same hair for her as the queen in the kingdom set, but the queen has a tiara, and Leia doesnt have anything for the hole to accommodate.

Basically my question is, is this particular Leia supposed to have a hole in her hair, or is this an oversite on the part of whomever sorts the pieces into sets? It just seems odd and unnecessary to me.

Yes, the hair piece suppposed to be like that. Just as you said; it is also used for princesses, and they need to stick their tiara in there. ;)

There are many pieces that comes with options for additional attachments that are not used in a particular set, but may be used in an other.

This versatility is what makes LEGO so awesome! :D
