I went to LEGOLAND CA, and noticed this set on the shelves. It was a 2005 polybag-I bet it was quite unpopular, considering the number that they had there.
Name: 5994 Catapult
Theme: Knights' Kingdom II, which is a subtheme of Castle
Parts: 27
Price: US $.99
Part Value:4 cents a part
Ages: 5+
The set was released along with two other odd polybags, which are a Vladek that looks NOTHING like the character, and a Jayko who at least looks similar to the version from the chess set. They are VERY odd polybags-the catapult isn't well designed (but it IS cheap) and the other guys make no sense. They didn't have them at LEGOLAND, and the catapult was old-I'm not sure if polybags rise in value due to rarity after discontinuation, so I got this one.
The Set
5994 Catapult
The catapult is poorly designed. It's not awful, but it's really, really odd. The axles are too long for the wheels, the base is pretty flat and boring, and the catapult part is odd. It has a 1x2 jumper plate for no apparent reason, and the end has some 1x1 corner parts that just don't fit the part (although there aren't really any realistic alternatives). Oh yeah-it has ammo. It fits in, but there's not much launching power.
5994 Back
Parts
This corner part is definitely not rare, but it's quite useful. Because of Knights' Kingdom II, medium blue (royal blue) is the most common color for The horse head armor piece. It's a nice part, although not as useful without barding. This part is quite useful, and not super common either. Lastly is this great wheel piece. This appears in a few sets, mostly on catapults as the launching end. This makes for really good medieval wheels (in a micro scale), and has a bunch of other uses.
Minifigures
It has none. Wasn't that quick?
Build
Like sticking parts on a plank. Nothing I couldn't see from the box.
Price
Superb. At 4 (.037) cents per part, this is a real good value.
[h2Overall[/h2]
Pros
-Rare wheels
-Great part value
-Cheap
Cons
-Boring build
-Odd
-Not very detailed
Parts 4.5/5-It doesn't have the best parts, and some of the parts here could be better, but the wheels are awesome and it's an awesome value
Price 4.5/5-For the set, it's not amazing-but the part value is great
Build 2.5/5-It's a polybag, but I've had better builds from other polybags
Design 2/5-LAME
Final Score: 3.375-it's not a great score, or a great set, but it's worth it for the wheels and it has a great part value.

Good review, I own this set as well and think it's ok. I believe it came with a Brickmaster at one point.

Re: [REVIEW] Knights' Kingdom II 5994 Catapult
Seems like the wheels and the horse helm are the only redeeming pieces of this set.

Nope. It's also the really low price per part. 4 cents a piece.legitimatealex wrote:Seems like the wheels and the horse helm are the only redeeming pieces of this set.
