[REVIEW] 30008 Snowman

Indexed

30008 Snowman
Price: $3.50
Pieces: 44
Price Per Piece: $.08
Minifigures: None
LEGO Description: None as far as I can find.

This review is going to be short and sweet. I promised a review of this set when I won it and here you all go.

I'm going to start out with the entire build first. It's a very cute and tiny build. Everything is as it should be.

Here's the snowman without all of its trappings. As you can see it is mostly just SNOT bricks and some slopes. Just a few white pieces stuck together.

Just the top part detached from the bottom.

The rest of the build is just window dressing. A few black studs to represent coal. A carrot nose. The top hat has a hole in it so you can presumably get some pieces of string through to make it an ornament.

The only extra pieces that came with it (not featured) were one extra of each arm.

Overall I'd recommend this set to all. The PPP is pretty darn good and it's a cute build. You could probably recreate this set very easily on your own.

I picked up a couple of these (along with the accompanying 30009 Christmas tree) on clearance for $2.48 CAD each at Toys R Us in the summer. This set has a nice amount of useful pieces, so for a couple of dollars this set is a good buy.

I bought this set November of 2009 for $1.99, then two weeks later they were giving them out for free with any LEGO purchase so it was really 98 cents.

It's a great set, but in no way should it be $4. At most is $2.50, but if you can find it for cheaper on clearance then I would go with it.

Expect it on clearance after Christmas. They usually all go on clearance after the season.
