Since there has not been much buzz on this thread recently, perhaps i'll throw in my two cents

What would be neat (in my opinion) to have City and Castle merge and do a subset. Call it Citadels or something

Keep the Kingdom good guys and throw in some robbers (like the good ole wolfpack or the bulls )

City-type sets may be a local forge, bakery, an inn, garrison house maybe even a medieval port or a noble's manor

The castle/police aspect would involve the robber's stealing stuff and the good guy's (knights) giving chase

just a whim

Well knights aren't the police-but there would be law enforcers. Does anyone know where the windmill rumor originated?

I agree, I'm curious about the windmill set idea, I like it, but it makes a person wonder how the rumor mill churns this stuff out...

Is there a thread about what we'd like to see as far as potential kingdoms sets go? Does anyone think that Lego creator browses the threads and harvests ideas from them?

Kingdoms 2011

Post by vynsane » Thu Dec 23, 2010 7:16 am

Pics have surfaced of the new Kingdoms theme offerings, marked as available in July 2011. They are numbered and named:

6918 Blacksmith Attack
7187 Escape from Dragon's Prison
7188 King's Carriage Ambush
7189 Mill Village Raid

There are some not-great but passable pictures in wensheng tang's photostream.

I think the pictures look pretty believable. The windmill looks like something I'm going to have to get for the castle layout at home for sure.

Heh, everyone makes missteps in their speculation - do a search through my posts for "CMFs3" and "$1.99" ;)

Very happy to see more Kingdom sets! It's my favorite line! Releasing in July gives me time to get some of the other sets that are out now.

Literally just finished my Kingdoms buying with the exception of the two polybags 30061 & 30062 (which my bud has for me)... well at least this gives me a few months to let the wallet heal.

Not to get off topic but do I see a harbor theme on the left of that image? The green ship?

Yup!

Harbor is the summer City theme - 4641 Speed Boat, 4642 Fishing Boat, 4644 Marina and 4645 Harbor.

Also, I'm a City collector mainly, but the windmill set looks awesome! Definitely going to add that to my collection.

Well nice to know Kingdoms will be around a little longer, but something tells me this might be its last gasp, since were looking at 2 small sets 1 med, and one med/large set, pretty slim pickins for a theme probably about $120 can buy all 4 if not less then that.

figure 2 $7 sets one $15 set and one $50 - $80 set.

Let's be optomistic and hope that this isn't the last gap. Good ideas like a windmill can keep this line alive and more ideas like it will keep people wanting more.

or the Medieval Market village (didn't keep fantasy alive ) and King's Battle Chariot and Drawbridge Defense from the fantasy line, oh wait those were the last sets for that line, doesn't this lineup for the Kingodms line have a chariot, a village scene and such, like I said, was hoping for at least another castle (Fantasy had the Troll mountain set) but not looking good.

Yeah I was kinda hoping for a castle for the Dragon Knights. There doesn't seem to be a good balance of lion knights vs dragon knights..
