So I've come across some great Tachikoma builds on the net recently (including an amazing motorized one) and I really would love to build one. BUT people never post instructions which leaves me trying to figure out what pieces they used to make one :(
So I'm here to ask if anyone thinks they can figure out how this was made http://www.flickr.com/photos/12373821@N05/2709690139" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
links to some other great builds

http://flickrhivemind.net/Tags/tachikoma/Interesting" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (some other great custom builds)
(Tachikoma is a "think tank" from the Ghost In The Shell series.)
If anyone wants to try making one or try figuring out my problem with underneath Tachikoma here's the file (he's upside down right now just so i could see the bottom easier

Re: How Tachikoma as built?
Perhaps you could narrow it down to the areas you're having difficulty with?

Re: How Tachikoma as built?
Good news is that pic is from a set of instructions that already exist:-
Bad news is that they appear to be part of a kit that the MOCer is selling.
Still, the close looks like it would help a lot in figuring out how he did it, and there's a photo of the kit on his blog that gives a few more clues, including that grey piece that looks like webbing in the bottom right corner.
There's a lot more reference photos on his Brickshelf pages that might be useful:-

Re: How Tachikoma as built?
If it helps, this is the web piece is Bar Frame Octagonal (I remembered it was in the SW planets sets, so could easily look it up).
And everything likely clips to that with something like Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Horizontal (open O clip).

Re: How Tachikoma as built?
yeah i got the web part done and the head part its just underneath and where it attatches to the "butt" and the mouth part that attaches to the front i just cant figure it out.
Re: How Tachikoma as built?
Still haven't figured out the bottom i posted the file to the build. i have red pieces underneath where the tachikoma connects together (they aren't actual pieces on the build) <also he's flipped upside down to make it easier to see the bottom and 2 legs aren't connected so i could put plates and such over the 1x2's
