Creations for Charity Event Starting
The third annual Creations for Charity fundraiser has just begun. This is an opportunity for builders to donate custom Lego creations and raise money to buy Lego for underprivileged children during the holidays. In addition, it’s a chance for buyers to own an original Lego creation. MOC donations are currently being accepted until November 15, and the store will open from October 15 to November 30.
You can visit Creation for Charity’s new website (http://creationsforcharity.org/) for details and other exciting changes this year. Once again, I look forward to the generosity and enthusiasm of the Lego community to share our hobby with many children this holiday season.

I know that "Creations for Charity" is an American thing.
I was wondering if a Canadian version of this fundraiser is potential.

I don't want to answer for Nannan, however, I have some information that might be helpful. If you are looking to just support the Creations for Charity event - anyone can purchase or donate Lego creations to help those who are less unfortunate. I know I had custom figures that sold in Europe as well as the US last year, and I know we had people from all over the world donate items. In regards to the donations going through Toys for Tots - I'm not sure if they are active outside of the US, but if you wanted to get involved and see if there was an outlet in Canada that would function in a similar way, I'm sure that you could go to the website (http://www.creationsforcharity.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), get involved this year, and talk to Nannan about the possibilities of expanding to Canada for next year. Again, I'm not saying that is at all possible, however, it is worth the discussion! Hope that helps!tired wrote:I know that "Creations for Charity" is an American thing.

Creations for Charity Deadline Approaching
Each year, Nannan and several other organizers (including Toys N Bricks staff reporter GoN2Broadway) run a fundraising event for Toys for Tots called Creations for Charity. The team has just listed several new creations in their online store.
Fine print: Creations for Charity is a fundraising event for the Toys for Tots charity organization. As such, donations to Creations for Charity itself are not tax-deductible. Creations for Charity is not affiliated with Toys N Bricks.
If you’d like to donate a creation yourself, the deadline for doing so is November 15 - please visit the website at www.CreationsforCharity.org to donate a creation or purchase a creation!
Last year, the Creations for Charity event resulted in over $14,000 worth of LEGO for underprivileged children!
