Oops in my last lego order

Post by mickey223 » Thu Mar 03, 2016 8:44 pm

Tried to post this in off topic forum, but wouldn't let me start a new topic.

During the Easter sale, I purchased a few sets and they arrived today. While I was unpacking the box, I found a handheld inventory scanner. I've contacted Lego and waiting to find out how to return it. I'm sure they'll want it returned as the scanner retails for $500+

Yikes! How many sets did you buy? haha

But yeah, they might even give you something free. I'm still trying to figure out why I got a Batman / Penguin $13 a couple years back. Made no sense to me. All I could think of is that LEGO was giving me a thank you for not selling my Bionicle preview build. :)

What brand and model of barcode scanner did you get?

Code CR3622

The odd part, I usually get a reply within 24 hours from Lego service. Its been two days (order arrived wednesday not thursday) and still no response. I'll call Monday afternoon, if no reply by then.

It sucks you have to fix someone else's mistakes, especially when you are trying to do the right thing and are getting more stress over it. I wish you luck

After a week with no response, I ended up calling them. It took a while for the CS to understand what I was telling them, but finally got it straightened out. They are sending an envelope to return the scanner to them this week.

The best part, after getting it all straightened out the CS added 200 points to my VIP account. I really did not expect anything as I was trying to do the right thing. So in the end, it was worth the wait.

Well, I guess it's a win win... Except for the guy who left it in the box in the first place

Yep, I though about that. That's the only thing that bothered me about the whole situation. Hope they weren't too hard on the person.

But I couldn't in good conscience keep it or just toss it.
