The 32x32 blue and 32x32 green base plate are being replace with a 32x32 tan/sand base plate.

Green will be coming back, it's just getting a new number.
Blue has always been an issue with LEGO, it was gone for like 10-15 years, they returned. Now they get rid of it with Pirate sets?

Yes, green 32 x32 is coming back. I saw a picture of the new packaging somewhere online. It says 'Lego Classic"on it now and was priced at $7.99.
Re: blue and green baseplates being discontinued
It was also in one of the catalogs my kids got from Lego.

Re: blue and green baseplates being discontinued
Also I was at Target yesterday and they had about 10 tan ones, and next to it they had a sticker for the green ones, but none in stock yet.
So blue is gone for some reason.

Re: blue and green baseplates being discontinued
Now the question is what type of green is it, lime or regular?
The photos on the web can be deceiving.
Does anybody know for sure?
Thanks

Re: blue and green baseplates being discontinued
According to Brickset it is called "bright green" and the old plate was called "dark green". I don't think it's lime, I think it's a middle of lime and regular green color.MrVEP wrote:Now the question is what type of green is it, lime or regular?

Edit...
It's the same green as an apple or the cartoon TMNT heads.
