Deal seems to be dead now.
Re: Amazon LEGO Deal on Ninjago Fire Temple £49.99 ($72 USD)
It might not be dead. It looks like Amazon UK is out of stock. The link now shows the product being sold by a 3rd party vendor. I'm glad I got one at the bargain price. Thanks brickity!
Regarding the ongoing conversation regarding taxes on imported Lego, I live in Taiwan and have received sets as large (expensive) as Mindstorms NXT2.0 without being asked to pay any duty. So far all were shipped from the US by Barnes & Noble. All boxes from them arrived in very good condition.

I'm glad a bunch of you got in on the deal, before stock ran out.
Just a note on customs for Canada.
My experience so far has been that I rarely get taxed when shipping is done through Postal Services (i.e. DHL, USPS, Canada Post). I think the actual limit in Canada is $60 tax free, but I've had things slide through with values up to $150.
UPS on the other hand uses their own brokerage firm and charges $10 plus local taxes (GST, PST, HST). They charged me the fee/tax on a $100 item. But in their defense, it arrived faster and the box was in good shape.

BN is paying the customs/duties on your behalf - that's why buyers are not getting charged.Sinfanti wrote:It might not be dead. It looks like Amazon UK is out of stock. The link now shows the product being sold by a 3rd party vendor. I'm glad I got one at the bargain price. Thanks brickity!

Even while this deal was still good (there was one left in stock), I couldn't get Amazon to recognize my address. I kept receiving an error that said something like: "we're sorry, we can't ship to this address."
Oh well - it would have been a nice deal.

My order arrived yesterday (shipped to the US). Item undamaged (no crushing).
Re: Amazon LEGO Deal on Ninjago Fire Temple £49.99 ($72 USD)
I'm in Canada. Arrived via Canada Post. Had the Fire Stations and Fire Temple in there. Got charged $20 Duties. Worked out to $75 ea CDN all in for each set. That's better than I could have got via Chapters Sale or TRU, so I was happy.
Only issue, box was soaked when it arrived Via Canada Post. The box of the fire template and the outer shipping box (one side) was drenched that it just fell apart in my hands. Post driver let me know and offered to refuse, but I inspected and all the items were poly bagged and it appeared that condensation didn't screw up the stickers plus I wanted them now! So I accepted and all was good. That's my $0.02

Mine arrive today. It was shipped from Germany. The box was crushed and open (not a big deal to us, since our son will build the set) - the contents were intact. A great deal, even ordering just 1 set - thanks again.

As of this posting 62. You just add the item to your cart and then change the quantity to a very large number. It will let you know how many are available.Strictly.Rollers wrote:Is there a way to telling how many they have in stock?fouzie wrote:Fire temple is back in stock for 49.99 GBP!

Thanks for the deal posting! Bought 1 shipping to Blaine WA even though I'm in Canada, since Ice's post mentions Canada often gets handling fee/HST whereas US rarely gets import fee. I'll bring across the border myself, and typically border guards won't send you in to pay tax for this small amount.
This is the first time I've purchased outside of CAN/US so hopefully things go smooth!

Ack! No longer available. Should have snagged it but needed to pick up some other items figured it would last at least a couple days. Next time won't wait!
