Does anyone know if Zellers has any of the Advent calendars in stock?

Anyone tried combining the $10-off-wus-$40 coupon with the BOGO 1/2 promo with no problem?
Looks like it would work for items worth around $27 and more, ie
27 + 27/2 = 40.5 -10 = 30.5

Man, this is a really good deal on small to medium sets! Too bad there's no $26.99 sets anymore (that would be the best deal for the $10 coupon). Back in 2007-2008, the $34.99 Star Wars sets used to cost only $26.99. Now, thats the new USA regular price.
Oh well, at least this sale brings the prices back to the good old sales days. :)
Buying 2 regular $34.99 sets like Ewok Attack/Sith Nightspeeder would cost $21.24 (almost 40% off)
Buying 2 regular $39.99 sets like Geonosian Starfighter would cost $24.99 each (37.6% off)
This is even cheaper than what I brought from BN. For once, Canada sale prices are lower than US regular prices. So i guess if your not planning on getting Toys R Us LEGO Star Wars exclusives, Zellers would be the place to go for a better deal.

Obviously can't speak for all Zellers, but the Barrie Ontario location had a few of each as of this morning. Both at MSRP (39.99 and 49.99 respectively).harry99 wrote:Does anyone know if Zellers has any of the Advent calendars in stock?

I've seen a number of both advent calendars in 2 Zellers in Burlington (Appleby & Burlington Mall)
LEGO, it's not just a toy, it's an addiction... ;)

No sign of the advent calendars at the Zeller's in Brentwood Mall (Burnaby, BC).

The Zellers at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines, ON has both the City and Star Wars advent calendars. A bit surprising for me since it looks so ghetto (albeit does have two floors).
Re: [Canada] Zellers LEGO Sale BOGO 50% off ALL LEGO
The entire BC has none instock. While their inventory system says they have them, its not in their stores or in the back yet.beethead wrote:No sign of the advent calendars at the Zeller's in Brentwood Mall (Burnaby, BC).
But if you are interested... here are some of the numbers of how many Star Wars Advent Calendar each store will get.
- Vancouver - 19
- Burnaby (Brentwood) - 24
- Burnaby (Metrotown) - 12
- Coquitlam - 42
- Surrey - 9
Also, their "LEGO Clearance" must be a joke. Woody's Roundup $60, Buzz's Star Command Ship $35, Ben 10 $15 and some duplo sets that no one wants. Even weaker than their BOGO 50% off sale. =/

TRU has a whole bunch of SW Advent Calendars and Walmart had plenty of City calendars.harry99 wrote:Does anyone know if Zellers has any of the Advent calendars in stock?

Went to Zellers again today and still no advent calendars as expected. Didn't want to waste the $10 coupon so I ended up getting 4 battle packs for $8.74 each plus tax. Good price!
Re: [Canada] Zellers LEGO Sale BOGO 50% off ALL LEGO
Maybe have to settle for TRU's price of ~$40, which is still better than the Lego.com price. Best price I got for my #8083 battle packs was $8.49+tax and #8084 was $5.33+tax. I've got 20 of each stored away.Ice wrote:Went to Zellers again today and still no advent calendars as expected. Zeller's clearance is quite sad but what you really have to wait for is the additional 50% off clearance price sale which will probably be in the next couple of weeks. By that time most of the Lego sets will of been sold already. Only thing I saw at Zellers in Vancouver (Oakridge) was the Toy Story Army Men set, $10. Use to be you could find some good clearance Lego at Zeller's but in the last couple of years I haven't seen much with yellow price tags there.
Re: [Canada] Zellers LEGO Sale BOGO 50% off ALL LEGO
Ya, the clearances are quite sad. But if your lucky, you may score some nice deals when combined with the additional 50% off toys. I picked up a V-19 Torrent for $27.5 in the past before.
Burnaby Brentwood and Coquitlam has the largest LEGO selection. The selection at Vancouver, Burnaby Metrotown, Richmond and Surrey is a lot smaller. But Richmond Landsdowne also has a decent selection.
And just to prove that Zellers does carry large sets, I've seen Queen Anne's Revenge and Venator at Brentwood before. Coquitlam has even more as I've seen Battle of Endor, Republic Attack Gunship and Temple of the Crystal Skull. The selection at Coquitlam is massive like a typical Wal-Mart store. I believe that store is the biggest in the Vancouver region.
Also, Metrotown has the worst selection out of all the stores I've been to. Many people think it is the biggest store because its in a big mall, but its not. Shelve are always messy and stocks are low because there's too much people there.
