Costco.ca deals (Esp. for Train Fans)

Post by eagerbeaver » Sun Sep 06, 2015 3:55 pm

Hi all,

Costco online (Costco.ca) has a few new arrivals at delicious Costco prices —

60051 - Lego® City – High-Speed Passenger Train at C$134.99 (~21% off MSRP C$169.99)

60052 - Lego® City – Cargo Train at C$ 178.99 (~22% off MSRP C$229.99)

Additionally, there are a few sets at a modest discount —

76035 - Jokerland, 75055 - Imperial Star Destroyer, and 75919 - Indominus rex Breakout each at C$134.99 (10% discount each off MSRP C$149.99)

Costco usually holds very limited stock, so if you're interested, better go get 'em! Enjoy!

Cheers,
EB

Update: These (excl. Imperial Star Destroyer) are now sold out at Costco. Hope you were able to get one!
Update 2: They are back! Lol!

Costco.ca has a few sets:

New Millennium Falcon at $159.99 (12% off)

Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle at $129.99

They don't show up under search for Lego. Select Toys and Building/Construction.

In store, I saw Rey's Speeder and the Tie Fighter at about 15% off list.

Just ordered the Cargo Train from costco.ca. $51 off the price of that at Lego Shop @ Home. Pretty happy!

How is costco able to have such cheap price? I don't see it anymore but yesterday I saw the Technic Volvo for like 230 when it is usually 300!

I believe costco's whole deal is that they will buy hundreds of palettes of one specific item, and then they ship those out to their various stores. Since they're making a deal for just one item, I believe manufacturers are more receptive to giving them a better price, because it's easier to just make a ton of one product.

What kind of question is that? Bulk wholesale buying by the pallets just like everything else Costco buys for selling. Perhaps they are also willing to give up some profit on each.

Their discounts currently are not that great (other than the loader which I missed) as they are less than 15% off
