Will you post any LOTR sets or minifigures when they are relesed?

Yes - I plan on buying sets and selling figs, if I get good deals on the sets. I did this with PoTC and sold over 200 figs.

Good, because I may need some moria orcs since they only come in 1 set. Here are some other minifigs I need:

(1) Boromir
(1) Legolas
(1) Gimli
(1) Frodo
(1) Sam
(1) Merry
(1) Pippin
(1) Gandalf (if I make battle at Moria,no if i make battle at Amo-Hen)
(1) Lurtz
(20) Uruk-Hai
(5) Mordor Orc

I may make the battle at Amo-Hen but if not I will most likly make the mines of moria or something using the LOTR characters but not lotr related.

Thanks,

Matt

I plan on taking advantage of the TRU sales, as well as the B&N sales/coupons as often as I can. I'll post in this thread when I have figs available. It might not be for a couple months though (if at all, depending on the feasibility).

Thanks! Just notify me when you get them. How much would you want per figure?

Well, that was basically the point of my caveat (if it's feasible). I can't answer that question now - it all depends on Bricklink pricing (will it be worth my time to buy sets and sell figs, etc).

I need a ton of uruk-hai. How many are you planning to sell? And could you sell them for $2 dollars a piece?

I have no idea - I have yet to see them in stores.

As for the price, $2 apiece (at this time), is highly doubtful:

I can't buy any uruk-hai that are over $3, because it would be crazy when you could buy the uruk-hai army set for $29.99. Also these prices thier charging at bricklink are ridiculous. I won't need any uruk-hai till the middle of june any way.

^ 3 bucks a piece x 4 = $12. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be nice to pick up a bunch at that price but it probably isn't really worth the effort for a Seller unless they were like "hmm i don't want these even though I just spent a bunch of money on them so I'm going to get rid of them all for dirt cheap even though the going price is at least double" and that doesn't really make sense beyond wishful thinking :think:

@ Edmond - nice prices on your sets btw.

I agree with your statements - I would also point out the valuation will also invariably depend on the availability of the Uruk-Hai in other sets (the more sets they are in, the more likely the price is to decrease).

There are already five variations, just in the opening wave (which also negatively affects pricing from the buyer's viewpoint). In other words, if they were all uniform, prices would decrease:

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=lor006" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=lor019" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=lor022" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=lor007" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=lor008" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Of course, they are so new the inventory is not yet available on Bricklink (and I haven't seen them), so it's certainly possible there aren't actually this many variations (ie the underlying minifigs are the same, only the armor is different).

Then perhaps you should wait until then to before you try and negotiate pricing.

Heh, yeah, or wait until I
1.) Decide whether it's feasible
2.) Actually SEE the sets in person, let alone purchase one

Thanks! I was wondering how many different prints there were yesterday and I was too lazy to check myself heheh.

I listed a ton more sets in my store the last couple weeks. Even though I've sold quite a few, I have many left!

In particular, Castle collectors might enjoy what I have available.
