Monthly Fee to Access Toys N Bricks Forum (Effective April 1)

Post by Toys N Bricks » Mon Apr 01, 2013 3:02 am

10:00 pm PST Update: The forums are now only active for those with membership. If you would like to sign up for membership, please contact us and we will help you set one up. If you have a concern regarding this new policy, feel free to let us know on either our Facebook or Twitter pages.

4:43 pm PST Update: This is NOT a joke. We're serious about implementing this new policy.

As the forum database is putting significant burden on our server, we will need to upgrade it to a better one. To cover this new upgrade, we would need to charge each member a monthly fee. Toys N Bricks will be offering 3 types of forum membership with each one offering different features. All membership plans are effective as of April 1st, 2013.

The low cost value membership fee covers basic access to the forum like viewing. For those looking to get more out of the experience, they can choose to get the Platinum version which offers the ability to post as well as to manage your profile. Really want to get the most out of it? Then be sure to get our VIP First Class membership. It gives you insider access to the forums where you can get news before anyone else plus lots more!

Value - $5 per month
Platinum - $25 per month
VIP First Class - $100 per month

*All prices are in USD.

More details regarding the different types of membership will be available shortly. Collection of payment will be processed at the end of each month. If you have any questions, please let us know.

I, for one, have saved more than $100 by using your sales reports. Put me down for the VIP.

These prices... they are simply not high enough to cover the reality of large scale operation costs. I know this may repel some members, however, It's my personal opinion that they are reviewed. I offer the following suggestions:

Value - $15 per month
Platinum – $75 per month
VIP First Class – $300 per month

So do VIP members get access to an insider forum, where we can discuss the forum posts posted in the regular forum? Do we also get previews of rumors and leaks of anyone's posts before they even know what they are going to post?

I have several goats and since they are the preferred method for monetary transactions on the Internet, we can go with the $100 per goat exchange rate.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm planning on taking some significant time today to print out the forums and put them in a binder for safe keeping so I can still look at them when I no longer have access.
