New Star Wars Ep VII teaser trailer...the possibilities.

Post by MrVEP » Fri Nov 28, 2014 10:55 pm

After getting out of work late, I found myself wondering the net and I stumbled upon the big news.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the movie.
But one thing pop into my mind right away. Know Disney they will exploid every opportunity to merchandize the new SW.

Which brings me to my "What if..." moment from the trailer, new slightly modified Millennium Falcon have the potential to translate to New UCS version.
That will make a lot of people happy.

I place this here since nothing is official yet.

Reserving judgement on the movie since I loved the trailer for TPM and the movie both sucked and blew. I think that whoever designed that lightsaber with the side blades needs to give their head a shake. Those side blades are a perfect way to lose you thumb.

How is this any different from Lucasfilm? George Lucas invented the idea of mass merchandising.

You are right about that. For some reason I was thinking they are in the "house". Even though they aren't. :-)

I'm excited about it. Even if its slightly worse than the Phantom Menance I'll still enjoy watching new Star Wars. I agree the lightsaber with side blades is a horrible idea. Its dangerous as you said and I can't think of any practical reason for having them there. The "scene" was exciting and dramatic but if that lightsaber is any evidence of the film it will be a disappointment.

I'm more interested to see if they keep that old-timey type style cinematography that the trailer seemed to have - very similar to the original Star Wars. Might really make it feel more like the originals. One big reason for the dislike of I, II, and III was so much heavy greenscreen/CGI - just didn't look like quite right.
