I took a hard look at the Lone Ranger train chase, for my son, and this set seems it should be around $59, but I suppose the tracks add some value more. I saw the republic ship last week in target.com, if you had purchased second one with 30% off that week! you could have got two for about $75 ea by also using red card savings. I am seeing this advertised in Walmart stores as someone mentioned above, cheap.

Finally broke down and ordered the LR train and LOTR ship. I get get 5% back from Chase as well, so both over 30% off.

Just curious - what are the chances that some of these deals or even more better deals will go well into next week for Amazon and is anyone seeing any deals at all on the larger sets that are suppose to be off limits to discounting.

Haven't seen discounts on Amazon, but TRU was running buy an exclusive, and we'll give you a 7347 free. That's a pretty good "discount" in my book!

Geez.. not 2 days ago I bought from there the Castle (at 75$) and the Titan (at 70$) thinking they would likely not go down much further. Would have been nice for an extra $10 off. Bummer

^ Might be able to ask for a price adjustment. Or there is the less scrupulous option of buying another and returning for the old one.

I just dropped a bunch of dough at TRU last week and now this sale happens! It's table flipping time!!
I'm mainly interested in the Pirate ship and Titan sets but The Hobbit sets come out in a few days and I have plans to pick up a couple of those. GRRRRRRrrrrrrr

I don't find this less scrupulous at all. Bad customer service not to do price adjustments. If you won't price adjust for me, I'm going to get the cheaper price regardless, and it's going to cost you more time, money, and effort. Very short sighted of businesses to make this difficult on the consumer.

Less scrupulous would be, for example, to claim damage or something else in order to avoid the return shipping charges, which would otherwise offset the $5-10 price difference.

Haha, it is funny, me and my buddy were talking about the same thing, I am of the mind that as long as you are within the return period you should be able to do a price adjustment. Price adjustment periods are generally significantly shorter. And he agreed as long as the original item was in "returnable condition, ie. unworn clothes".

Anyways yea I totally agree as it only costs them time and money. And sorry for sidetracking the thread lol.

Thanks for the heads up about Amazon's price guarantee. I contacted Amazon.com and they replied with the following, indicating you have 7 days from the date of delivery for the price guarantee.

"Thanks for contacting us about the recent price change on LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunship. I recognize you have a choice of retailers and appreciate that you prefer to order from us. Since the price of the item has changed within seven days of the delivery of the order, I've issued a refund for the price difference in the amount of $5.43. You should see the refund in the next 2-3 business days.

On the other hand, for LEGO The Lone Ranger Colby City Showdown. We’ll refund the price difference if the price drop occurred within 7 days of the delivery date. Since your item was delivered 21 days ago, I’m not able to refund the price difference."

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, too. I also contacted Amazon CS via the "Chat" option and quickly got a $10+ price adjustment. Really quick and easy.

Both Walmart and Target are still selling King's Castle for $75, in stock, free shipping. Target has a promo code TGCDNTUZ that will take $5 , plus if you have the red card you can get another 5% off. With Amazon now charging tax in my state, it pays to shop around.

I just counted, and as of right now there are 32 sets on Amazon at 30% off or more. Madness.
