From November 24-27, Toys R Us America will be offering Red Hot Deal items as a teaser to their Black Friday 2013 LEGO Sale. For the few days leading up to Black Friday, they will have LEGO Board Games Creationary for $20 (reg.$34.99) and their exclusive Star Wars Gold Leader's Y-Wing Starfighter for $34.99 (reg.$49.99). Savings work out to be 43% and 30% off respectively.

I saw the paper add, it said the Y-Wing was only this Wed, one day only like they did with Palpatine's Arrest a few weeks back.

I strongly believe Gold Leader's Y-Wing Starfighter is a set that will hit 50% off or more if we waited. Why I think so is that, when you see Lego store put them on sale for at least 20% off last year, you know the set is not selling.

Wow. Thanks for saving me a trip tomorrow! I'll try hitting my TRU Wednesday. I wouldn't mind picking up the Y-Wing for 30%. Hopefully they'll have some Christmas tree polybags still, too.

The local TRU (Arden in Sacramento) refused to give me the Y-Wing price and said it was only for Black Friday.
The ad, however seems to limit the Y-Wing to Wednesday and the Creationary to Tuesday.

WIll be 50% off when people laid off on the sets when it is only 20-30% off.

Just got an email that Toys r us has the LEGO Star Wars Gold Leader's Y-Wing Starfighter (9495) at $34.99..Seems okay price for a $49.99 list price item.

I'd be a shame not to pick up the set and then miss out on it over $5.

I agree. If you're on the fence about the set, then maybe wait it out and if you get lucky great. But for me, if it's a must have, 30% off is the definitive "get it now" line. The past few years it's almost been a guarantee that a set will be 30% off at some retailer eventually. This 30-40% off on so many new sets on amazon this past week is a rare case in my experience.
