The set has yet to retire, simply sold out. Lego will replenlish the sets if enough people inquire about them as long as it read sold out instead of retired. How come they have these? Well, sold out at Lego S@H never translate into sold out at a Lego store or at any other retailer that still have stocks.

My store had 2 on reserve and 2 left on the floor at opening, I was able to get mine for $50, basically 45% off MSRP ($59.99 + $10 gift card for purchases over $50). Great deal for 645 bricks including 6 minifigs.

You guys are right, it is not retired just simply sold out.

I read somewhere it was retired, Sunday when I saw the deal and researched into it. It was a disaster seller, like Prince of Persia. But the real truth is it was another voted upon set, like Home One, and that was a failure too. Not sure you will be seeing it around for long as the lego #'s < 10000 are soon to gooooo.

Got two at my local TRU. Also picked up CM series 11 for 2.50 a piece, jedi defender class cruiser for $75, technic pick up truck for $50, and hero factory surge for $10. Plus the $10 gift card. Pretty good deals!!!

When I saw this set I thought it was pretty cool, comes with a vehicle, playset, and jedi figs. Just the price scared me. They probably shelfwarm at TRU and Lego stores mainly due to the high price.

I want 75014 Battle of Hoth for the very same reason but the price is awful.

I was able to go back and have the difference refunded as I bought this set just four days earlier. It's a good price for the set as it was over $100 originally at the local Toys R Us.

It is called price protection, the time you can do that is usually much less than time for returns or exchange depend on the retailer. You do not need to bring the package, just the receipt most of the time.

I went ahead and bit on this as they honored the $10GC reward with purchase. ~$50 is a nice price for an exclusive set with 6 unique(?) minifigs.
The cashier at TRU said they'd sold a ton of these yesterday.

They held this set for me from another store and even would adjust price the day after. When it arrived, it had a crease down the front. Decided against. Would have been 49 with gift card, but dosn't look too enticing of a set, looks like another home c. set.

Most of the ones at my TRU the boxes were creased down the middle due to the tight security wire around each of them. Plus there are a lot of bricks in the box causing it to bulge out.
