TRU is offering the Seaplane (#30225) free with a $20 construction purchase.

I don't think the free sea plane is worth the TRU tax for buying Lego.

I bought this polybag last week. It was only $3.99.

I went today and got 6 polys (seaplanes were $3.99, lawnmowers were $4.49) for $16.45 plus tax after my $5 reward. It worked out as we don't have the lawnmower.

I saw that Olivia's House was $91...they are insane!

If you are purchasing in store, TRU now price matches.

Since TRU price match includes shipping, you may need to pick something that is 25+ since that is when FSSS kicks in.

TRU does not price match with online retailers - amazon / Lego and for other store retailers a print out of their current MSRP is required, some might accept a screenshot on your phone or tablet.

The free promo won't work with a pm. I tried to pm the tru site a few weeks ago and the register wouldn't give me the free polybag until they canceled the pm.

But the last time i checked if you were over $25 on amazon it was free to ship, or if you were a prime member. . .

How would they know if you are a price member?

To price match the thing needs to be over $25, otherwise it's useless. Amazon will price match Target if the item says "free shipping" otherwise they won't bother.

I don't normally buy from TRU due their 'over the top' prices.

I did go today and get 60014 Coast Guard Patrol. Amazon and Walmart have it for 64. TRU Online is 65. The store rang it up as 79 but I had them price match their own website. Then grabbed to seaplane polybag for free since it was over 20 per the promo.

Both TRUs I tried didn't really work correctly with the register so they had to override the poly price for .01

All together, both cashiers were helpful and nice and I was ok with the final price.

Just a heads up if anyone else wants to grab that set.

Just a heads up but the reason they were "working correctly" is because they weren't supposed to give you the poly for free after price match. The system was trying to prevent the freebie after PM as per their policy. You got lucky and got some friendly/unknowing employees.

Stopped at Toys R Us at lunch today and found that they had finished their Lego reset while I was out of town. The Lego section now looks like other stores and it's probably the largest section, with exception to video games. I did notice some older items that they may have dug out of the back. A Space Center 3368 and some Alien Motherships. I started to look over the Technic stuff and I found a Technic: Motorized Excavator 8043 marked $219.99. I knew the last time I looked it was still listed on toysrus.com. I had them price match it at $199.99 and got the free sea plane. I hope to get $350 for it closer to Christmas.
