I got a ready for pickup message for the one I ordered from my local store.
I already bought this from KMart @ $35 a few months back, but my son loves some of the small pieces

TRU let me add it to my cart and in the end I was over $79 for free shipping, but then it was sold out and left my cart when I was checking out, so I got charged for shipping :( I managed to cancel the order on-line, but my paypal account has been charged. I hope that reverses.

I will try to PM at Target, I printed the screen from TRU, will that work? I'm worried it will be gone from the website by the morning.

Atmail, don't worry about getting charged through Paypal. If TRU is like any other online retailer, it's just a temporary hold of your funds and they wouldn't have actually charged until the order ships. The hold should fall off of your Paypal hopefully witin 3-5 business days at the most. Hope that makes you feel a little better!

Placed an order for pickup. Received an email saying ready for pickup, then fifteen minutes later I got an email saying that because I had not picked them up it was canceling the order.

Fairly annoying.

This. I remember having this happen with a Leapster title a year ago or so. 7 or so titles were on sale for ridiculously cheap, store pick up option. Had to settle for lesser titles and when we got to the store they were right there on the shelf. I think their inventory system sucks.

Ended up passing through after they closed on Sunday coming home from Star Wars Days at LLCA, but the Calexico, CA TRU had these in stock over the weekend when I called. I can't recall anyone here being from the Imperial Valley/Brawley/El Centro area, but if you are, it probably would not hurt to call and see if they are still available.

you guys should have just gone to the store last week and asked them to price match TRU online prices. It is in their policy that they will have to match it unless it's "hot price item". This is how i understand it.
