Or pull this up on your smart phone at your local Target and smash them in the face with their price match policy?

Target Canada only accept price match on a flyer, nothing from phone or web. :(

Bah. That's a bad look, Target. The only reason I consider stepping in there these days for LEGO is that policy, and even that is something I have to fight for, or mention myself.

All the price match ads refer to local print ad price matching only.

Last winter, Target ran a new promo: they will price match in-store against a limited number of on-line sites, including walmart, best buy, and amazon. This is what LowestFormOfWit is referring to.

I dont know if this was US only, or if the policy is still active.

They wouldn't price match an American website anyways or am I missing something? That's unfortunate that their price match policy is so archaic regardless. I'll just price match at Walmart if they go the route of TRU.

Target US will pricematch Wal-Mart.com and Amazon.com year round now.
They have an IPAD at customer service and will look it up from that. Depending on the employee they will sometimes look at your phone if you have it up but their official policy is to use their ipad in at the station to make sure the price isn't a cached version of the page.

I've done this many times and got several of the MF werewolf sets when amazon had them for 13$ and got my additional 5% off with Red card.

Target (at least US ones) also price match their own online site (they haven't always done this). The full policy has a rundown, located here, on the forums.

Be insistent and ask for a manager if you run into problems. My particular Target DOES NOT ADVERTISE this policy. The only flyers for price match indicate the old policy of only price matching local competitor's printed ads. As of the beginning of this year this is now defunct for most US Target stores, with exclusions detailed on their website.

For a look at the policy itself, check here.
