[USA] TRU BOGO 50% off all LEGO in-store only

Just got the email this morning - Toys R Us has all LEGO in-store for Buy One Get One 50% off - seems there are no license or theme restrictions!

EDIT: Sorry, it does exclude Star Wars sets, but no others.

Here's your chance to pick up a bunch of sets for what effectively amounts to 25% off since it's Buy One, Get O(BOGO) 50% off on the second of equal or lesser value. Obviously make sure your second item isn't the keychain.


This applies to in-store only and excludes Star Wars sets, but all the others should apply. I even see the TRU truck on their website but not sure if it's in store yet. Happy shopping.

If anyone comes across any of the new train sets at TRU let me know. Been waiting on the BOGO week and of course when it happens my car is out of service. Hopefully I'll be able to catch it at the end of the week, but let me know what you guys find.

The train sets are pricey and if TRU has them, it would be really nice. Are they suppose to be an exclusive to TRU or some other stores?

I will have to go and get the last kingdom set i need, prison tower rescue.
and of course another $50 set to get full value of bogo sale.

Also the trains are online, so maybe in store.

just got back from the south austin, tx TRU.
no trains.
and no new TRU exclusive truck.

but they still had indy's temple of doom... which i think is out of production.
also had the AT-TE, out of production, but not on the sale
sadly, i am limiting myself to cash purchases these days,
and didn't bring the bucks for either of those big ticket ones.

i did however pick up:
3180 tank truck
and
8076 deep sea striker

both at 18.99, $1 less than MSRP... how often does TRU do THAT??
add in the sale, and i saved the $9.50 for 1/2 price, plus the two bucks .

also... i just got a mailing from TRU...
and i think the passenger plane 3181 and the yellow city truck 3221 are listed below MSRP!
$2 off for the truck and $3 off for the plane.
if you bought those two in your BOGO (i did last thurs for the members only deal)
you'd save yourself another $5. on top of the $17.50 for the half price truck.
not sure it's worth taking them back (they're still unopened) for the $5... but maybe!

Thanks for the heads up! Really appreciate it, was able to buy another set of the ferrari truck and lamborghini (yellow). I saw the lego truck but not any TRU exclusive lego trucks in stock in the two local toyrus. I was also able to buy a few minifigures as well wit this deal and finished my collection of 16. =]

I'm hoping they have Agents Robo Attack on clearance at my local TRU, and then I can get it and something else of equal value for half off. Of course, I have to get the missus on board that one.
