Thanks for the heads up.

About the Double VIP Points promotion, The post says it's for March...I imagine it's meant to be April? I checked the LEGO Shop website, but couldn't find any mention of the promotion.

If they are giving a 20% discount on something that is brand new, I wonder what that has to say about the way the line is selling.

I think Chima is selling very well and this is timed to coincide with the TV "event" this Wednesday. And spring breaks. And Easter. Its got winning sale all over it. LEGO can move jillions of the Speedorz at 20% off and still make bank.

I have to agree here. LEGO isn't know for having "sales" unless they are trying to liquidate inventory. OK, May the 4th be with you sale is one exception. I have a bad feeling they way over produced this first line and it isn't doing to well. Most WM, Targets and such are busting at the seems with this product. I may be wrong, only time will tell.

Would anyone know if the double VIP points also applies to in-store purchases? Thanks!

I believe 20% on selected Chima sets, none of the exclusive or hard to find ones are on sale. This theme is moving slowly that is for sure, but as I recalled, so was ninjago at first.

Online and in store, always been that way, unless all of a sudden they decided to change.

Shame on me for not checking. Just yesterday (Sunday March 24th), I bought a copy of Town Hall in-store with my 10% off coupon. Oh well.

Sidebar: I'm hoping they run the same PAB cup promotion that they did last year, which I'm pretty sure was in April. This promo above runs until April 8, so it's still a possibility.

I rather have free shipping. I only want to buy $20 worth of things, and don't feel like paying $5 for shipping.

For me, on a large purchase like that, I would go back to the Lego store to get my 2x VIP points. I recently returned a set to a Lego store, which I used a 10% off coupon and they were nice and gave me another 10% coupon to use. Of course YMMV.

Free shipping is usually on $50 or $75 purchase anyway.

It's almost always $75 or $99 now-a-days and lie I said I only want to buy $20 worth of things. Why would I buy LEGO from S@H that has no sales? All I want is the grey bunny and two springtime sets.

The PaB promo was on the April calendar last year, but it is not on the calendar for April 2013, so I would say that it is not likely that we will see that promo during this double points period.

Really? I remember one time, one of the CSR ask me if I build a certain bricks a certain way that I could get much much more in. Another time I have one of them told me flat out that if the cap do not close they will not let me purchase it even if it can be taped shut. I guess it depends on the store and who is working at the time, so inconsistant.

Haha thumbs up! I also do that, filling up every tiny crevice in that cup with 1x1s or whatever else will fit. My experiences with the Lego store employees in Glendale have always been golden. Incredibly friendly staff always willing to help or answer a question.

I haven't bought PaB in many many years, but I never had an issue. However the cap does need to "click" on, even if just barely, that seems to be the only rule. I've been in LEGO Stores 1.5 hours and no one cared.
