Um, no it doesn't. I was going to place an order online and use the code (TRU20OFF) and the LEGO in my cart is still reflecting the sale price.

However, you can't use the coupon online with any other promo. IE, no Rewards money or free GS poly. If you try either of those, the discount doesn't work.

I'm doubting this as well. I just tested it and it wouldn't let me enter a code because of the poly deal. How were you able to make that work?

Just used TRU20OFF and it worked for me. Online, toysrus has dropped almost all of their prices to msrp. So I ordered for instore pickup LEGO Super Heroes The Bat vs. Bane Tumbler Chase (76001) 31.99, LEGO Legends of Chima Eagles' Castle (70011) 31.99, and LEGO Friends Summer Riding Camp (3185) 79.99. I didn't have to remove the polybag (it never showed up in the cart).

Just remove the free poly. It shouldn't add automatically anyway.

In any case, my point is, just add the sets you're interested in, don't add the free poly or use any rewards money, then type in the code as you're checking out. Super easy.

Edit: I figured it out, the coupon code window is greyed out. I can enter enter the code even though it is greyed out (it doesn't look like it should work but it does). When you do that the polybag promo that was added automatically gets removed automatically

I keep getting, "Your order does not meet the requirements for this promotion" when I apply the code on the Payment page. I've even gone as far as the Review page, but I still can't shake the GS Insectoid. It automatically shows up...ugh...should be simple, but...

Go to your cart and click on the "remove" button under the qty box for the insectoid.

I don't understand why carts are behaving differently...the poly bag doesn't automatically add to my orders.

That's what's crazy. I've done this in the past, but now the free item doesn't have a quantity, so I can't remove it. I was figuring they got a new checkout system.

Finally, after a series of adds and removes, I've been able to get two different items to accept the coupon, but I can't get 6857 to lose the the GS poly.
