They matched for me, but the promo would not stack, I.e. no $80 Vampyre Castle or 2 Funhouses for $30 each as has been rumored. This deal is about as good as BOGO50 for CMFs, though.Brick & Blue wrote:TRU does not price match their online prices.

FYI anyone in the Southern California area, the TRU in Newhall near Six Flags Magic Mountain just got two cases of series 9 minifigs today that qualify for the $20 off. They now have one case left and it's sitting at the customer service desk.
They also have at least a dozen of the 30231 Galaxy Squad polybags with the green space human guy fighting some sort of bug-looking alien, they were $3.49.
And lastly, they have two of the new Chima Speedorz on the shelves. 70106 Winzar Ice Tower and 70105 Eglor Nest Dive are $17.99 each, $1 more than the previous wave of Speedorz

If your TRU has Arctic Batman for $22.99 and Bat Vs Bane for $49.99 like mine does, combining that with a minifig or a poly is ideal. It'll likely come out to just under or around standard MSRP on everything, the benfit being that amount should be AFTER tax. Today I totaled $76.56, and after the $20 off and 9% tax I ended up paying $61.65, not too bad for 24 minifigs!citizen wrote:Anyone can tell me if I buy a 76000 and a 76001 plus some minifigures, would it be a good deal?
If you didn't already know, standard MSRP on those sets are $19.99 and $39.99, respectively. These sets will get cheaper and will eventually clearance, but whether you'll be around to take advantage is always the question there.

I would think it would stack. I got an additional 15% off in the mailer, and no where does it say not good on sale or clearance items. In fact, it is on a mailer talking about all the things on sale with additional coupons. I am going to test it out this afternoon.beartrapper25 wrote:FWIW I was able to stack a $10 off a $75 purchase on top of the Lego promo, it took some work but the store manager out through the override.

Got the 20% off via e-mail.
Was curious in what order they might stack with the 20 off 75?
Which do they take first typically?

The coupon specifically states it can't be combined with any other deal but worth trying I guess.

wrt today's email offers from TRU...FenrisAkashi wrote:Got the 20% off via e-mail.

the 20% off one regular priced item (3/1-3/9/13) for in-store purchase coupon
excludes sale items and promo iteims so you'll have to wait for the $20 off $75 or more sale to end first.
The 20% off total on-line purchases excludes legos explicitedly

Even though the small print excludes Lego, the coupon still works for Lego (online).Neo wrote:wrt today's email offers from TRU...FenrisAkashi wrote:Got the 20% off via e-mail.

Does the 20% coupon work on online items that are currently at msrp? and does it work on hard to find sets?Edmond Dantes wrote:Even though the small print excludes Lego, the coupon still works for Lego (online).Neo wrote:wrt today's email offers from TRU...FenrisAkashi wrote:Got the 20% off via e-mail.

It's only working of a few sets. It is working on CMF's (2.99 on line so I got them for 2.39 each). I just ordered 60 series 9 to be shipped. Hopefully they'll just send me the sealed case. Probably not but one can only hope.
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?
Re: Toys R US Lego Sale $20 off over $75 In Store only
Has anyone tried a $74.99 item (i.e. 70505 Temple of Light)? Does your total purchase need to be $75.00 before tax to qualify?
Re: Toys R US Lego Sale $20 off over $75 In Store only
Ninjago excluded, so Temple of Light wouldn't work anyway. My guess is since it's TRU you've got to get it to $75 on the dot.brixter wrote:Has anyone tried a $74.99 item (i.e. 70505 Temple of Light)? Does your total purchase need to be $75.00 before tax to qualify?

Need some advice. Need to pick up the Unexpected Gathering, as I haven't found a decent sale on it yet.
I'm thinking I should go ahead and order it via the TRU online sale (20% off $100+), and get 20% off the actual MSRP... I don't think I've seen this set on sale for more than 20% off MSRP. What do you guys think? Should I go ahead and pull the trigger on this, or should I hold out for Amazon / other sales?

I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.
Re: Toys R US Lego Sale $20 off over $75 In Store only
nice milestone congrats!! I think you should pull the trigger, 20% off msrp is most likely the highest discount we will see on this very popular set (unless u live in some crazy rural area that will actually clearance these randomly). I luckily got mine for about 22% off with a price match at Walmart using a picture of a random clearance price label from K-mart. It's a great set, you wont regret paying $54 for it :)Luciant wrote:Need some advice. Need to pick up the Unexpected Gathering, as I haven't found a decent sale on it yet.
