This is really your only chance to get these relatively cheap ($75 for two of them). They really are worth it if you are into trains or technic. Of course, you need the adapter also (8887), but only one to charge multiple batteries.
Thanks. I have the Maersk and Horizon Express, which I would like motorized once I put them together...and your pointing this deal out helped a lot.

They probably kept the key people from those orgs, hence the continued fail.
TRU is now dead to me, the bs they've pulled in this "sale" is far worse than before. This would not be legal in Canada, and I'm surprised the U.S. Gov lets them get away with pricing practices that are so misleading.
At least we can all see through the lies, but they are ripping off a lot of people. I have no problem with prices higher than msrp, but I do have a problem with sales prices
still being higher than msrp.
TRU has no integrity.

I'm going to continue to check periodically, both for posts here and on TRU's site, for updated inclusions. My hopes aren't high, but... So if anybody else notices a change please post here. TRU.com takes forever and a day to load on my iPad.

the only thing I see maybe worth the BOGO is "Battle of Hoth" combines with "Z-95 head hunter" .. although both are marked up by 5 dollars .. they come out to be 82 for both saving you less then 20

I was over the Toys R Us at 10 this morning, I got 2 Vampire Castle's I had a $10 Rewards Coupon, so I got both for $82 each, and I also got 2 LOTR Battle Helm's Deep, had another $10 Rewards Coupon, so got both for $106 each.

Watch out for this "sale". I was checking prices on the 32x32 green baseplates yesterday, before the "sale". They were $4.99 each. Today, now that the "sale" has started, they are $6.99 each.
So, if I'd bought the maximum quantity of 4 yesterday, I'd have paid $20.00, without any special "sale"; but today, if I purchase the maximum quantity of 4, I'd be paying $21.00.
Some "sale", huh? Yet another reason why I do not buy from TRU, if at all possible.

He said Helm's DEEP, not "way"!
(kidding, btw :) )
Seriously though, this sale isn't that surprising.
Polys and CMFs and an occasional exclusive - maybe some set that is EoL and still on shelves seem to be about all you can hope to buy("sale" or no "sale") and not get too terribly ripped off.
It almost seems like when they do have legimate sales it's a mistake of some kind; like a couple weeks ago with Samurai Mech at 25%, or even yesterday when the Palp Arrest sale and the 15 off stacked.

The spider-man spider-cycle chase and arctic batman sets are at $23 each. So $17.25 each + tax is not too bad for those of you in areas where collectors/resellers snatch these sets up as soon as they hit shelves.
Even after local taxes it should still be under MSRP

Some of these prices are heading towards or are priced the same as Canadian pricing, I just can't believe it! I've only come out of my dark age just before Christmas so I haven't seen the shenanigans that TRU can pull but wow. Especially in the US where you guys actually have choices of where to pick stuff up. I don't see how a company can sustain sales when they pull crap like this when there are other options....then again lots of people do still seem to shop there.

During last weeks $15 off $75 purchase sale I picked up 2 x LOTR: The Hobbit Barrel Escape 79004 for $79.48. Doing the math I noticed I would have saved about $8 more with this sale. I asked for a price adjustment and she just knocked off 50% oo one of the items on my receipt. Luckily, she knocked 50% off the sale price of $37.49 (orig. $44.99) and she refunded me $19.86. I ended up getting both of these sets for $59.62 or less than $30 each including tax.
I also saw two Super Heroes: The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape (6857) sets on the shelf today, so I picked up those as well. Luckily my TRU has these priced at $49.99 each. I ended up getting both of these for $79.48.

Somebody else is saying the 9526 for $77 stacks with the BOGO... Too bad I cleaned up yesterday or I'd go check. Though the difference is only $5-6 per set.

I found a brand new box of CMF S9 hidden behind the Duplo sets at TRU today so I took advantage of the BOGO50 deal. I picked up 21 bags and was only charged for 20
. Breakdown: 6 Knights, 6 Aliens, 3 Mechs, 2 Forest Maiden, 1 Waiter, 1 Chicken suit, 1 Plumber, 1 Mr.good&evil.

So you just returned the item and then asked to buy it right back? Did the employee hassle you at all?

I am only interested CMF. Not a single bag is left at my nearby store.
I also can't find any at local Target.
It seems like series 9 is not sold as widely as 7 & 8. Series 9 is labeled as retiring soon at the S@H now. Does this mean I should buy ASAP?

Yes, I just asked for the store manager and told him I didn't want to wait for them to put the Elf's back on the self to get my BOGO (as this store is sold out of them).
