I'm just going to order Joust through Amazon right now, and print out some adds for others so Target will price match with red card tomorrow morning (this is good for those who also want to stock up on cars and stables in quantity.

Wow, Target price match for Walmart.com today was incredibly easy - I had printouts with me, but the manager grabbed an iPad out of a drawer, looked everything up and gave me the discounts, no problem.

Picked up Heartlakes Stables for my niece, and a couple each of Wolverine's Chopper Showdown and Werewolf.

all targets i've been to are different. you usually have to take the lego directly to the customer service desk (if you take it to the cashier they usually have no idea and will tell you to go to the customer service desk). tell them you want to pricematch to amazon.com. some stores will accept the ad on your phone, but others want a printout, so i would always take a printout just in case. i dont see why they need the printout though, because they then always pull out their Ipad to double check. just be ready to wait....at some stores they needed to find a someone who knew how to do a pricematch, or they couldn't find the ipad, or also if the pricematch is greater than a certain amount they need a manager to do an override. one store also told me they didn't price match amazon.com, but i pulled up the price match policy from target.com and had it handy.

No, Amazon is not price-matching all sets right now. I suppose it's possible they will, but I'm not counting on it (and it's always easy to return sets to Target).

However, you still have to pay sales tax, which is higher than 5% in most cases - so this only makes sense if you're in one of the few states that tax Amazon.

^Many states that didn't previously charge sales tax are getting hit this year... Amazon sort of did a universal roll over/throw their hands up in the air. Arizona in Feb, and at least another (I forget which off top of my head) later in the year. Worst. Domino. Effect. Ever.

Just speaking for myself, I'd rather support "local" business and not worry about shipping hassles for a small amount extra (of course, I'm biased since in a week there is tax on Amazon anyways hehe).

Only 8 states currently collects sales tax from Amazon. By the end of the year there will be 10. By 2016 there will be (at least) 13. In any case, that still qualifies as "a few" when compared to 50 states.
