Poss Target major price cut of Jabba's Palace

I just noticed on Slickdeals that some Targets are putting Jabba's palace on Clearance for 35.98

I would try my local target but the only one with stock is 45 minutes away.

If anyone grabs some would really like to buy one from you , would even pay finders fee heh. My son wanted this for xmas but I couldnt afford it.

Wow, that seems almost impossible, but the pictures prove it, I guess. That would NEVER happen in my area- there'd be a feeding frenzy at a 20% discount. I actually just got back from my target and jabba's palace scanned a full $119.00; all they had that was clearance was the MF mummy set, the entire rest of the aisle was full price. Kudos to anyone who gets it at this price, though.

Looking at that thread, only the one person got it at that low price, YMMV.

Target clearance is determined by store, so any number of factors could have occurred here. The most likely scenario is that a manager at the Racine, WI store hit the 70% off button when he meant to do something else (or not at all).

And this should be in the YMMV forum.

Sometimes target doesnt process the items because they are in the wrong place, so it sits and sits until someone picks it up eventually and processes it, BAM 70%, I wouldnt hold my breath tho. You'll notice that it doesnt have the stack of clearance stickers on top of each other like we are used to, showing each step of discount. I have had this happen just once and walked up the the workers processing the items and asked them to manually do it.

Found a lonely Vampyre Castle with a clearance tag for $29.98 on LI NY, needless to say scooped that up. My guess is that it was a return and I was there, right time, right place. One of my better scores.

Years ago, I lucked into a Star Wars Star Destroyer (6211) for $30. I was at the right place at the right time on that one too. I sold it waaay too early, but I didn't really buy Lego at the time.

A deal like this happened with the City Bank this year. My Target had it for $25, with only one sticker. Not 70% off, but still, 50% off is awesome.

There were no bargains at my local Target today. A few cheap sets were 30% off for saving of $3-$5 dollars.

All Jabba sets were full price in Denver area as well, although most stores were sold out of virtually everything.

In my MD area Targets, the Jabba sets are being discounted at 97.98 - but they're all gone.
In fact, the Lego shelf is almost empty ....

Jabba's Palace is now $87 and change from Amazon and shipping is free since it is over the threshold amount.

We do, but very very rarely and like this case, it is always store specific.
