No luck on Series 8 but pulled these off the shelf today at one store. I've seen them many times but they finally scanned at a buck!

Anyone know what Walmart's policy is for items that you've bought at full price but which go on clearance within the return window? Will they refund the difference?

No. Doesn't hurt to try though.

If you have the receipt you can always ask to return the item and rebuy it if they don't want to refund the difference...

Note though - I have zero experience doing this for LEGO products, or even Wal*Mart, but have had luck for other products over the years at Target and Best Buy...

They have a seven day policy regarding price matching their own price drops if you have the receipt and the item is still in stock. However a few people have posted that they have had some luck with this beyond the window and/or without the items being still in stock. Generally, the consensus seems to be if you go when the customer service desk is very busy you will have better luck if you are outside of the policy parameters as they will be less likely to want to take the time to do a stock check or call management.

Price adjustments are done for online purchases. I'm not sure if you can return & immediately rebuy the same item.

They can refuse immediate re-purchase of that returned item, and state that if you want the lower price, you'd have to go pick it up from the shelf, or else wait for that returned item to be re-shelved. They said this is to deter people from pulling this stunt across WM's, and provide a fair chance for all customers to that item at that low price. Do they really benefit anything financially in the grand scheme of things? No, because someone will end up buying at that low price anyway. But some of CS still enforce it.

Just went to walmart and bought a ghost train for reg price and went to a walmart that had it for Clerence and they just gave me back the difference.

There is still some clearance stuff out there to be had. I made a little circle yesterday and hit 8 or so Wal-Marts and just two Targets and found the following (I left plenty behind):

Found a [9474] The Battle of Helm's Deep at Walmart (Piscataway, NJ) for $57.00. Box was a little beat up, seals looked good.
Also I bought a [4635] Fun with Vehicles for $14.50.

I totally wish I could find 30161. Can't seem to find that polybag anywhere. I might have to check out a couple Walmarts now.

I know Logan Wal-Mart had some Batcaves, LOTR Attack on Weathertop, Ewoks, and a Whitecap Bay left. South Zanesville Wal-Mart also had some Batcaves, Attack on Weathertop, and $54 LOTR Mines of Moria still. Target in Heath had quite a few Monster Fighters Mummy sets left at 30% off. I saw some Pod Racer sets, Dino T-Rex Hunter, Clone Battle Packs, and Space Centre sets still at a few places too. I still see the Sith Nightspeeder regularly too.

I just saw a bunch of POTC Black Pearls for 49. The boxes were a little rough but the price isn't bad.

They must have pulled these out of the back room from the Wal-Mart 10 min from my house. I stopped by after work and peeked in the clearance section, which still has 4 - Pod Racer sets $34.50 , 5 - Sith Nightspeeders $12, 5 - Toy Story Zurg for $7, and a Cars Flo's Drive-in for $30 and found these:

Went to a Walmart close to house. Requested to do price match but was told WE DON'T DO PRICE MATCH WITH OUR OWN STORES. Ya right. You only price match those with higher price like TRU. Sucker!

Stopped by a Walmart today and came across Lego City 4436 (Police Car) for $7 and 4435 (Car with Caravan) for $9.50. I am assuming they were returns from Christmas. Purchased the Police Car to go with Police Station I bought on clearance last week.
