I am starting to worry that Wal-mart and Target are not going to have good sales either.kwkw wrote:My first after Christmas sale after coming out of my dark age is looking like a big disappointment (just like Black Friday).... please Walmart and Target make me feel better :/
Looks like business is booming for Lego if the best they have to do is 20% off clearance after Christmas.harry99 wrote:Can anyone confirm that there will be no free shipping with this sale? If so, the 20% off really only covers the shipping charges - in other words, do they really expect to sell anything at all?

Sure there is a chance your local LEGO store might have it but is it worth all the effort to you guys for 20%? Also I seem to remember that a few years ago we they usually had a few sets at 50% off - even SW. Is that an in-store only thing?
I believe they created the sales list weeks ago. We've got the list last week and some of the items were still instock.hikari wrote:Some bigger sets are included in the list, but all of them are sold out. Why bother to list them?

Not surprising...when I went to get my set of Series 9 minifigures at the Lego Store Fairview Mall location in Toronto back on Friday, I saw plenty of parents or other adults buying sets (not just small ones, but even the really large ones) at full price when they could be had for cheaper on the European Amazon sites, or can be bought on sale elsewhere. The target I guess is for adults/parents who are less educated on Lego and don't have the time to go and research/look for the best deal around. I mainly only go to any Lego Brand Stores only to buy he minifigures early when they first come out to try and get my full set and also to get VIP points. When the minifigures for each series come out, they're all the same price everywhere basically so I might as well try and get some points. Otherwise, I don't really go to any of the Lego Stores unless I were to be visiting in the US, where I can use the VIP point saved up in Canada on US retail prices.Max Power wrote:As far as buying lego sets, S&H is usually my last resort. Sales are usually pathetic, I have to pay tax, and usually shipping. When they do have free shipping, you usually have to spend $99. They definitely dropped the ball this year.
