Not sure if I should pick up Palpatines Arrest at that price...hmm...do you guys think it'll go down further in the future?

SW retailer exclusives usually have a pretty long availability period and don't go on sale often. The best price you'll likely otherwise see for it at TRU would be higher during a BOGO50 (25% off $109.99), and that requires finding something else at an inflated price to maximize the discount. Even if you were "lucky" enough to find a damaged-box set at a LEGO B&M that'd be at most 20% off MSRP, which would be $72. So if it's a set you want, I think that's a pretty fair price for it.

Consider the Hoth set if you haven't got it already as it's much closer to EOL, but you may also be able to score a killer deal on that one post-Christmas as even at a steep discount they weren't moving off the shelves during LEGO's Black Friday sale.

I would guess that CITY Garage will be available for cheap after the holidays, on clearance by spring at the latest - it's cute but overpriced in the same way Harbor/Marina were. But Quinjet, Samurai Mech and Helm's Deep are all surprisingly good buys especially considering it's TRU. Maybe right now, TRU employees across the nation are scrambling to put them all back in the stock room.

Thank you for the great insight. I already have all these sets except for palpatines arrest which looks like a great set and the garage which i think is a terrible set considering all the vehicles in it are direct rehashes from other lego vehicles, even the colors of the vehicles are the same

I do agree that the samurai mech, quinjet and Helms deep are great buys especially at the discounted price. I was really surprised by how great the quinjet set is. Great build, looks cool, and it's alot bigger than i thought it would be. So all in all not a bad "sale" for tru lol

The Echo Base seems like a pretty good deal to me considering that the best deal I've seen recently is the BOGO 50%

Finally going to get Helm's Deep to complete the LOTR sets. I'd love to pick up Palpatine's Arrest also, but I've spent way to much on hobbies lately. Hopefully it'll be around a while longer.

Even being a Star Wars fan, the Hoth Set only mildly interests me, but I really have no interest in Palpatine's Arrest. I already have the other Hoth set with the Tauntaun. I do like the Luke bacta chamber though, which is the only piece out of the set that really caught my eye.

The best deal recently was the B2G1, which is nearly identical to the savings here. Still a good deal though and a decent set for any ESB fan and you only need to buy one to get savings.

See TRU, it's not that hard to make a decent sale without having to put up all the hoops you normally do. Why don't you do it more often?

Too bad Amazon is out of stock of Helm's Deep to have a price match sale.

That coupon is only for the Super Saver items on the last page of the ad.

Samurai Mech for $30.14 is definitely tempting... Thoughts on whether to hold out for a better deal after Xmas?

Darn... I guess I'm just wanting for someone to be a devil's advocate and just tell me to buy it

You should figure in play value too, this set has a lot going on for it.
