Thanks for the heads up. Target's online store pricing of the Lego 7939 Yellow Cargo Train is 179.99 which equals the current Lego.com S@H MSRP. Using the BOGO50%off discount (which shows up when viewing the cart) with an additional 5% off and free shipping by using the Target Redcard credit card - I manage to wiggle out an acceptable discount of 30% over Lego's MSRP. San the state sales tax - this is $128.24 per train set. I have a TRU 15% discount plus a TRU $5 Reward but at TRU's Lego 7939 Yellow Cargo Train price of 199.99 this would have only drop the price down to $164.99. It also beats the Amazon price of 178.99. The train tracks and power function components are less expensive by purchasing them in this kit than buying them separately.

You got to get a REDcard, their in-store credit or debit card. I have the debit card and it takes the money out of the same account my regular card would use. You get 5% off every purchase and free shipping online.

I feel fortunate, the Target I stopped at still had two of these retired sets still in stock:
Lego City Fire Station (7208) X 2 - $99.99 + $49.99 = $150 plus tax
I've been looking for this one.

Thanks for the FYI! I just grabbed 4 #7498 Police Stations for $57 each after Red Card! Also, 2 #4202 for just under $23 each!
However, I did have them shipped to my Mom's in NH to save on tax, otherwise it would have been $62 and $25 each, due to the 9% tax here in Cali. I figure with the extra 25 bucks I'm saving, I won't feel too guilty cracking one open and building it when I'm inevitably bored and Lego deprived over Christmas. :)

Are you going to compensate mom for using her as a sale tax shelter?

So, take note of this, kids: here is an example of why there is a natural limit to how high taxes can be.

Don't forget, the trains count as City also.
2 7939 Cargos for $135 each.
2 7938 Passengers for $93.75 each. (Target has it for $125, which is $5 less than msrp)

got 2 LEGO City Special Edition Set #3661 Bank Money Transfer (going to get retired)
they were 50% off and they stacked with the BOGO 50% off, also had a $5 off coupon for toy purchase.
spent $35.15 for two sets that are normally 49.99 each.

Why didn't you post this deal before it was sold out?

As the online price still reflects MSRP, I'm 100% certain he's talking about an in-store deal he found.

This was in-store clearance, i just saw today.
The lady in the toy section, said they just marked them down this week. She also mentioned that normally the do the lego clearance after christmas, but for some reason they are doing some before christmas this year. there were a few other City sets on cleanrance but this one was the only one at 50% off. at the Store in Frisco, Tx they had 10 more of this set when I left today ~noon.

I saw the same deal as juflosolo in a Target near me. They also had the Genosian Starfighter for 20.98, which I already got from a KMart clearance in the fall for $11, so it was easy to pass on that. Not to mention they had about 8 million of them.

Saw this deal in Albuquerque only it was only 30% off. Still not bad when you use coupon good for $10 gift card when you spend $50. Also saw 4434 Dump Truck 30% which also stacks with the buy one get one 50% off.
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?
