That was an unbearable 3 minutes.

Nerve wrecked by the above post, I (duh) go to B&N. King's Castle, in stock, $99.99. Must. Checkout. Faster. Which is hard to do on an iPad. Steps 1-99 completed, submit payment, loading circles, loading circles, etc. "We're sorry, the item is no longer available and has been removed from your bag."

Good luck to you, Jasper Parnebrick!

I must admit I was getting pretty jelly by all these success stories. I had placed my order on Thursday. Said it was going to ship Friday. Saturday I got a delayed email. Called BN and they said would ship Monday. No shipment on Monday so I called today an was told they were out of stock and was showing as 3-5 weeks until shipment. I was completely bummed. The girl appologized repeatedly, most likely because she could here the disappointment in my voice.

So I came on here and again read about shipping emails coming through. Ho hum I thought. Go back to check my email, just in case, and got a message from 2:00pm today that my order shipped! Huh, what, excuse me?!?!?! I had just called and was told it was unavailable early today. Only to get an email later in the day saying shipped. Very odd. If this were a game of monopoly I would call this "bank error in your favor". Now to see what actually arrives....

Yeah dude, I had the circles loading and was totally thinking it would have been taken out of my cart too.. tablets tend to drag the ordering process out!

Mine claims it'll be here Friday. I have never been so interested in a package delivered to my house as I am this one. How silly is that? Less than a year ago I could have picked one of these up pretty much anywhere at this price, yet here I am getting excited.

I didn't order one, but I too am curious what is going to show up for those who did. It could be they found some in the back of the warehouse, it could be that LEGO had some extra stock and that these were intended as a Black Friday special. In the past old retired sets have found new life on Black Friday, so it isn't unprecedented, although if that's the case it is the first time that Barnes and Noble has been in on the action.

Lego did say there would be black Friday "specials" in their November calendar so maybe they'll re-release the kingdoms line and so maybe this time b and n accidently sold their stock early lol. Fingers crossed. If this happens Im picking up every single kingdoms set times 5. Im not missing out on my favorite theme again.

Crushed/smushed. As long as it actually came. Unless you were planning to resell, no way you could have even gotten a crushed box for cheaper. How sweet. Mine is slated to arrive Monday of next week. Fingers crossed I took have a Kings Castle - crushed or not, I don't care.

Didn't realize how much the price on this set jumped in the aftermarket. That said, I still think it is bad customer service to shove a $100 toy into a box too small for it, and then try to ship it.

^^Really? I see a lot of them offered at 105-120...that is the standard reseller markup from when it was out. Perhaps it is fetching more on ebay and such, but there are places on the web to get it just over retail.

Pumbaugh, would love to know where you are able to shop for 105-120 these days. Certainly it isn't any of the following:

Barnes & Noble - http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/toys-ga ... 3419131032" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - $219.99

Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003F7 ... g=tsnbs-20" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - $189.99

eBay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-7946-Kingd ... 2321523062" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - $179.00

Perhaps you can educate the rest of us interest purchasers on what retailers out there sell it for a mere 5-20% markup on MSRP, because I am having trouble finding it.

Bricklink shows an average selling price over the last six months of $105 and change:

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?S=7946-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The problem here is that you have to be patient. Brinklink lets you set alerts if a set you want goes under a certain threshold. Cheapest one right now is at $135
